New update just released for all platforms

Patch Notes

  • Fixed an issue that caused Expedition data to be unnecessarily re-downloaded from the server.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause repeated network duplication of NPCs, leading to decreased framerate (especially at Space Stations) and occasional crashes.

This patch also brings all previous fixes to consoles:

  • Fixed an issue that caused portable refiners and other placed objects to vanish in high network activity areas.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause some interactions to become unresponsive in high-network traffic situations.
  • Improved the audio effect when a mission patch is displayed on screen.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause weapon labels to scroll unnecessarily on the HUD.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the mode select text to appear to have a fuzzy outline when selected.
  • Fixed a number of icon issues affecting missions supplied by NPCs found in planetary buildings.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Inventory Full warning on the Expedition Page to appear in ALL CAPS.

Good to know the important issues are being dealt with
Honestly,in 3xp, things are working fairly well. The 4th rendezvous point was filled with bases and all that I visited fully rendered…(at least it seemed so) Some take a while to pop in but it was really kinda cool. I added a small Atlas-65 Archaeological Society Outpost. Hope it renders in for others. Left a comm message nearby. LOVE to HG from ETARC/Atlas-65.

This was basically the last 3xperimental branch which just went public on Steam and on it’s way to all platforms.

Would love to visit, but too busy with other things currently, to be able to get into this new update.

At the rate these patches are rolling in, you might as well wait anyway.
I am playing along, people entering and leaving the system, then things get eerily quiet…that’s when I know…update time!

I’m having trouble finding time to play too. Though some of hours have been spent viewing streamers to get drops. Priorities, you know.

How does the ‘viewing streamers to get drops’ thing work?
This is the first time I’ve heard of it & I can’t stream due to terrible internet so never try…

Edit: See next post before replying…

Ok, nevermind. I looked it up.
With my awful internet there’s no point me trying this. It looks as if the drops are just regular QS items…is that right? No special treatment for Twitch-watchers, just a perk for watching.
I’m ok with that.
Normal QS missions it is.

Well, it’s a one way to get a Class A starship (Explorer, Fighter, Hauler, and Shuttle) . Also, you get Multi-Tools and Multi-Tool upgrades. Those are not QuickSilver items. Lastly, most streamers are playing the Expeditions mode, so you can sample progress, missions, etc.

I see this as a nice way for Hello Games to get more people watching Twitch streamers. It might also help build interest, involvement, or even game purchase.

It would be nice if Expedition 2 built on to #1, with some sort of award summary screen available (not that I expect to even complete Expedition 1 – I’m a slooooow player  ). But that is not to be the case, it appears.

Ok. So slight special treatment for those with access to Twitch.
I found a crashed A class (& later a crashed S class Royal tallwing exotic) so I did ok on my own…this time.

Actually, apart from finding a few more undiscovered systems, completing a couple of Explorer missions & scooting through the rendezvous’ I’m pretty much completed anyway.
I think crammed in about 30 hours. Freighter interior & bases (2) are pretty basic though.

I have started the standard base building missions but, they are easier because of rewards from the expedition missions. It is a nice way to spend some time while progressing towards completion of all expedition goals. Not quite so tedious as normal mode.

EXPEDITIONS PATCH 3.35 :link:

Patch Notes

  • Fixed an issue that caused a specific Multi-Tool broken slot to require an inordinate number of Ion Batteries to repair.

  • Fixed an issue that required players to gain an S-Class Multi-Tool to unlock the ‘Light Show’ milestone, instead of an A-Class Multi-Tool.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the glow on the star representing the final phase of the Expedition to be overly orange.
  • Fixed a number of UI issues that could occur when every milestone in an Expedition was complete.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the glowing grass found on some lush planets from glowing.
  • Fixed a graphical glitch on the save deletion screen when running in HDR on PS5.

Well, here’s to hoping that works retroactively so I didn’t spend those 3.5 million for naught after all…

I just went on a Sentinel killing rampage to get mine for the MT milestone.

@LordMarkov
Did you happen to notice that the ‘armoured’ sentinels are more fragile, than the normal ones when it come to plasma launchers?

Their armor seems to fall apart more easily.

Their armour is as useless as a Star Wars Storm Trooper’s
Mind you…I’ve had a few issues myself when it comes to point blank Plasma Launchers. Best not used indoors

No. I did not have any grenade type weapons equipped for my run. I relied heavily on Blaze javelin. I got it with my starter and then received it fully upgraded on the reward weapon.

But, I’ll mentioned that to my daughter. She loves fighting with grenades and often to her own demise.
