No Man's Sky utilities

I have come across a couple of NMS tools that were new to me. So below is my current link collection for NMS tools:

That optimiser is pretty cool, I was shocked to see it give my exact layout for my starship in permadeath when I put in the supercharged slots, applied pulse engine first (going for max manoeuvrability on the Radiant Pillar) then warp drive second, and everything else afterwards (Using Infra knife and cyclotron).

I guess I know my No Mans Sky '^_ ^

I noticed it is missing the Tentacled Figurine and this adds a fair bit to my Manouverability when installed compared to the Figurine the optimiser suggests.

edit: nevermind, it’s in the starship trail section as an optional

Not to be confused with

Which also has a handy farm plant quantity calculator

Thanks. I added No Man’s Sky Recipes to my tools list post.

To me, one of the neatest tools is the No Man’s Sky Glyph Decoder. It’s great for getting the address of a far out rim system in a specific galaxy.

From the time I spent inputting data on the Voyagers haven 3d map project and talking to its creators this past month, Ive learned to understand the glyphs to a point where I know which addresses will lead to the rims and in which quadrant and at a specified height on the y axis too.

I found this image cube very helpful.

The handy thing is a glyph address will leave you in the same or similar location in every galaxy

The glyph tool you shared is certainly gentler on my brain

edit: Testing it now, I might be a bit early and caught the framework as it went up, I don’t think the feature is currently functioning, but will be exciting when it does

@Clemm

Now that the Haven 3d map project finally has its advanced filters search function set up and working, it might be something worth adding to your utilities list for when you want to find a system that fits very specific needs but don’t have the time to randomly jump from system to system.

It’s still early days for this feature being implemented so I’m sure there may be a few kinks to be ironed out, and certainly room for expansion (like getting to choose properties for more than one planet in a search).

I have access to the softwares Trello for bug reporting so if you do happen to find any when using the search feature, let me know and I’ll be sure to submit them into the Trello.

Currently you can pick a weather type that might not match/align with a biome, so theres no filter choice restrictions in place etc but over time these things will be sorted and improved.

For now it’s more or less a feature in place to check functionality with the server and searching the database etc (currently sitting at around 7000 submitted systems to the project).
