Is this a bug? I have an old freighter of course, and warped for the first time a few hours ago. There was just a black screen until I warped in.

You should get the colored “to infinity and beyond” screen. Same as in your ship, just without the ship.

On PS4 there seems to be an issue with both warp and teleporter load screens half showing or going entirely black.
I don’t mind it myself even if it shouldnt do it.

That’s what I used to see before next, I just wasn’t sure if they changed it with next like how you now warp in third person when you’re in your ship which I hate.

On Xbox, its kind of a 50/50 chance that a black circle takes up about 30% of the middle of the screen when jumping somewhere or teleporting.
