As mentioned above, that would most likely mean including different versions of the same thing in the build… It is doable, sure, but… nobody wants to have to do that.
I’ve always liked the idea of degradation of ships, etc. Slow visual aging and a wearing down of “parts” that then need repair, etc.
That’s not necessary, but adds interest (to me).
I want an Inventory overhaul. With a much larger tech and removing tech slotting from General…it’s dumb and a pain in the ass. Or suits for different environments with their own separate slots.
I want practical food and water, sleep immersive stuff.
More weather and events, Floods, Hurricanes, Tornado, Lava eruptions. With some materials only available deep in the earth, very dangerous to get.
Would love converyer belts and other equipment…but that’s likely a pipe dream.
Base Defenses, and weather damaging enviroments.
A Ton more building items, and while they are at it fix the slotting points of the various walls etc, and scale them to be compatible with each other better, or add bridging items.
Remove landing pads at base needing navigation toke, you can summon your damn ships why do we need to pay to use our own landing pads.
Add a recipe select button to refiners, so you can select what you want to make maybe populate with materials also.
I’ll stop now lol…Wait terraforming…okay now i will…oh…crap…nope…
The landing page at bases attract NPC starships. So I’d prefer to leave them as an option.
I do like Hello Games’ new update plan of issuing smaller but more frequent updates. That helps keep me interested.
im only saying remove the cost for the summon if it’s your base.
I took the three oranges tweet like he was trying to say “The Origins”. Such as how Oranges sounds close to Origins. “Three oranges” sounds like “The Origins”?
Ha ha. Forgot to screenshot before I voted again ![]()
Of course, I suspect I should be voting along the lines of Greek mythology but, who knows why SM is asking these things…
Ok, what’s all that about an Odyssey? What the hell are we in for?
I’m totally with you on that Abe one by the way, although “A space” is definitely a close contender ![]()
Also, the elite dangerous Odyssey isn’t even out yet…
The Odyssey is the tale of Odysseus’ epic struggle to get back home - to his place of origin.
Right from the very first launch of the game, lore frrom the abandoned buildings told us that the traveller’s origin was “a world with green skies, and an obsidian moon”.
Trouble was, he needed an Odvinsko hyperdive to get there. And AFAIK, we don’t have one. Yet.
Odysseus encountered many marvels, and faced many dangers in his travels - but he had a pressing reason for making the journey. He was going home.
p.s.
I think @Jupiter.blues has it right. It’s very difficult to think of a simple visual representation of “Origins” - but it sounds a lot like “Oranges”.
I agree with many of the commentors…SM must be drinking
Reality is, it is quite possible he is waiting on certification from Sony and XBox for the update…and he is just burning time.

Old times vibes right now
Sean, gimme that odyssey!!
Boys, I’m getting hyped
Catching up on the conversation…
Wouldn’t adding another planet increase the 18 quintillion to an even higher number?
When they reset the universe, it reseeds it and essentially they create a new universe.
Oh, I get it…
Introduce a way to still access the old versions of the universe.
And if not in the same build, then - Perhaps as a separate download - And/or otherwise, etc.
You mean Atlas Rises v1.3 which was replaced by NEXT v1.5? - “YES, PLEASE!” ![]()
Yeah, after that reset I never could find a suitable replacement to call,
‘HOME.’
And when I say home… I mean…
Rich in resources, there were Albumen Pearl as far as the eye could see, and life was everywhere.
“HOME IS WHERE YOUR HEART IS”

DATE ? — December 2017 to July 2018 !

Wouldn’t adding another planet increase the 18 quintillion to an even higher number?
No, that’s not how that works. The “number of distinct planets” is just how many states your seed can have, with a 64-bit seed having 18 quintillion and a few odd states. That doesn’t change.
So you cannot just “add” planets, you’ll be replacing some of them. And controlling which ones can be very difficult.
In the end, yes, you could introduce new biomes and leave a lot of the universe intact, but statistically somebody is bound to have his planet reset on them…
However…
Maybe there is a way around this; where planets with (uploaded) bases are exempt from the changes that occur across the universe in a reset.
Personally, I’m fine with a reset as I sort of enjoy the challenge of re-establishing myself in a new location as my bases are fairly modest structures… but I understand the frustration of others not so keen to rebuild elaborate, special bases.
