NMS Merch, Cosplay, and 3D Printing

@toddumptious You may wish to try your images again. Perhaps wait until they actually appear and have the full link showing, before making the post final.

And yes, it is hard to make good pictures, they don’t do me right (nor the jacket) … hehe

I was just sending the post with the broken/failed uploads for posterity

What happens is, it gets stuck on processing but also never enters a fail state, so I cannot cancel nor attempt to re-upload.

Closing the tab and navigating to the draft also does not fix it, it will show the processing bufffering symbol again where “reply” and “image upload” should be.

I have to kill the browser app to allow myself to re-attempt photo uploads on the post again.

It can take 15 minutes sometimes of back and forth just to get a succesfful upload, and then I have a 5 minute window to upload more in succession.

It’s definitely my phone, happens in all browsers, and my phone has a hardware fault in that, only one app can be open at once. If I switch to another it kills the app and needs to be booted from scratch if I switch back over.

If a website asks me to switch to my banking app to approve a payment? Not happening. That’s not something I can do anymore. I have to purchase on PC and then approve on phone '

Worst. Phone. Ever. I look forward to the day I get a new one. But I bought a stupid Jacket instead didn’t I? Priorities

It’s great that all Hello Games had to do to expose our identities, locations and faces online in one handy thread was dangle a pretty jacket in front of us <3 (too blinded by jacket love, didnt realise how many faces/name are next to me, time to crop and re-up :face_with_peeking_eye: )

My best advice for modelling is just pretend you are waiting for a bus, it seems to work.

@toddumptious. You have runway in your blood. :joy: They should have hired you to model.

I’ll be their janitor if they’ll have me. I wouldn’t say it’s in my blood so much as, I did Tv and Film in College and a lot of that was unwillingly standing in front of a camera so your colleague could set up shots for their project/broadcast.

On cold days you’d fight for the opportunity to be a stand-in because the studio lights were so warm <3

So sometimes it was willingly.

If it’s any consolation, I thought the same thing about the t shirt when I saw your post.

Being a good little consumerism avoidance participant, I did not order anything but now I see all you people draped in NMS merch & I’m green with envy…. & maybe a little red with lust- you gorgeous people you. :star_struck:

So I’m now either muti-coloured & splotchy like I have a disease or I’m brown. I’m going with brown.

Can I ask what you think of the quality of the jacket? Well made? Warm? Durable? I need convincing that I need one.

Out of stock. They were very much a pre-order thing.

The page for the jacket has an input field to be notified when the item is back in stock.

Id say this is a boiler plate thing they have on all their item pages and does not necessarily mean the item will restock but…

I put my email in and hit enter anyway in the off chance it adds to a growing pile of demand which will then manifest jacket destiny for all.

Everyone throw your name in to the hat so Hello Games/Insert Coin get the message loud and clear. More people want a chance to snag that jacket!!!

@Mad-Hatter

As for the jacket quality, I am very pleased. It fits like a glove with the right amount of stretch, it’s very cosy and I felt very warm in yesterday’s icy Atlantic winds (buffered somewhat by the west coast, thanks guys <3)

The sizing guide on the site was very helpful, it told me to get my best fitting jacket and where to measure it for comparing to their sizing chart. I had a tailored jacket from my bros wedding years ago and I was a little anxious when it arrived.

Sometimes Small fits me, other times it does not (I blame Primark sizing on that one, so inconsistent :joy:) but this Small flight jacket fits me just right.

Proper Goldilocks moment for this Bear.

Choose a size on the page above to then submit a request to be notified on restock.

And I just want to take another moment to gush over the inlay on this jacket. It’s so vibrant, pretty and has better stitching than most my clothes. You’re definitely paying for the quality of the material moreso than the brand/IP here.

Oh and my Atlas Pass V4 now has a new home in the sleeve pocket of the jacket that has the Traveller Zipper (it’s in reinforced plastic don’t worry, I won’t bend it :face_with_peeking_eye: )

Well, my plushies are on the continent. I could have already picked them up by now except a huge snow storm lay between here and there

Gunnison. I used to work for a radio repair shop near there. When I first moved here I tried to run up the side of a mountain near Monarch and learned that 100 ft of elevation is a lot harder to manage when you start at 10,000 ft. My boss would have driven down to get me (long road) but I thought it was short and that I could just run up. I got to the top and couldn’t breath normally for 10 minutes, Robert couldn’t stop laughing. The snow here wasn’t so bad last night but I bet the mountains got a lot more.

So you’re saying the reason my package is taking so long is because the drivers keep passing out.

I’m sure they could be affected (gives you headaches if you are not acclimated), and it affects the trucks. But right now traffic is stopped in various places on 50 going to Monarch. Not deep enough snow but looks like ice.

My plushies are frozen. :joy:

And gasping in the thin air.

If it’s not a dumb question, what are they doing way up there? It’s not like there’s a major highway or an airport anywhere near.

Is this some desperate attempt to avoid tarrifs? Parachute drop into the mountains?

I have no idea. Maybe an ice road trucker slid off a mountain path.

There are easier ways to get from west to south

But you could be right. Unload from Chinese ship at busy dock close to the Canadian border. Have a moonshine runner take them to the back country. Mom with 6 kids runs them down the mountain where a trucker from India takes them back into the mountains deliberately into a snow storm where all tracking is lost for a week.

However, I do not believe they are actually in this location unless they are taking a vacation before arriving here.

There is nothing there.

But this is just up the path

I’m betting that they were trying to go below the storm, or maybe bypassing the new chain laws on I-70 and didn’t notice that Cottonwood pass was closed for the winter. That route would have taken them to Colorado Springs and then back to I-70 near Kansas.

Or maybe they wanted to visit South Park.

My best guess is they hired Sam Porter Bridges and they’re busy building roads for other players and insisting they walk the entire way at the same time.

Mine was in Amsterdam last I checked.

I don’t think it’s leaving there either, I hear the nip nip bud is legalised there.
