Oh wow. Note to self, don’t forget to pre-order the vinyl on September 18th :face_with_peeking_eye:

Your new NMS record will have a friend soon @DevilinPixy

Marked the date, and waving :waving_hand: the newbie a warm welcome. I am sure all three will be great close-knit friends!

How ironic. I just found a sealed copy of the first album and ordered it …

You did too eh, the Iam8bit one, right?

Well, I got it off ebay  The seller had high marks and deals just in vinyl. We will see but the price wasn’t outrageous so I jumped on it. Should have it in a couple of days

When I was a kid, there were still a lot of the old 78 rpm shellac records around. People used to soak them in very hot water, then mould them into fruit bowls.

If your Ebay seller says things like “Holds a lot of grapefruit”, that’s probably a bad sign.

Interesting, did they last? My experience with 78s is that they break very easily.

I once made a ruffled collar out of a 45. Left it sitting on the dash board in a car…

No, they were more of a novelty thing, and quite fragile.

Back in the 1950s and early 1960s, 78 records were regarded as junk. They never had great sound quality in the first place, and even if they were looked after, you could only listen to them a limited number of times - the grooves would actually wear out with use, and they eventually became unplayable.

When 45 rpm vinyl discs came along, 78s died very rapidly.

There was some useful insight from the post I wasn’t aware of.

I knew they made enough ambient tracks, seeds and stems for the team to work with and assumed they still pulled from them in the early updates.

I wasn’t aware of the fact they returned to make new tracks for the Pathfinder update (or I completely forgot about that feature in the announcement).

Excited for these new arrangements and finally having some of Paul’s additions in a physical and digital place outside of the game/fan uploads from datamining

I had three weeks of vet visits and charges because of a poor lil guy and an injured paw.

I was a bit apprehensive considering the last few things I’ve ordered from the states came with a shipping price that was more than the item price.

I guess I forgot plushies weigh absolutely nothing, I was very happy with the shipping cost to Europe and don’t feel one bit guilty for splashing out on an ugly bird.

Now to play the waiting game for the pre orders of the new vinyl record

I have included the discussion of the new NMS music album here as well.

I am so sad I am just now realizing how much in love I am with Monolith, the first track on the NMS album…the distortion at the end pushes the envelope to the edge of an acceptable level. Any more and it would be too much. This piece checks all the boxes for me.

You can hear the monolith’s metallic “breathing”. I wonder who did it first…HG or 65DOS

65DOS do some good byte-crush crescendos and the end section of Monolith is certainly one of their finest

Unmake the Wild Light hit’s a similar crest

Prisms too

Amidst all the buzz of the new album, I found myself revisiting the soundtrack from start to finish last night and playing Monolith one last time once the track order had cleared.

And of course a routine reminder that 65DOS’s AI swarm (the one off shows they did at science fair exhibition shortly after NMS release) now plays endlessly on a youtube livestream

These shows were a culmination of what they learned while making the music for NMS and pushing generative music and scripting to the best of their abilities. I don’t even think generative AI and deep learning was on the cards for this venture at the time.

Something I didn’t notice in other platforms from HG about the new update was mention of some new clothing they are doing with https://www.insertcoinclothing.com/

On the steam community post about the new update, it’s mentioned near the end along with the new album.

We’re launching a limited edition range of clothing and accessories with Insert Coin!

Full reveal coming soon.

Does anyone know where this is shipping from and how? De Minimus has ended in the US….and it doesn’t calculate shipping until checkout

Those jackets look nice.

They appear to be in the UK, judging by their worktime time zone.

**International postal and customs services may charge additional handling/service fees/taxes, which - if applicable - are payable by the recipient, not Insert Coin.

Due to rapidly changing tariff rates we currently can not determine the duty fee surcharge and will vary.**

Yeah. May go thru the process and see what it is…:grimacing:

So this is interesting. The forum won’t let me post the pic. Shipping to Arkansas is $54.80 for the jacket bringing the total to $151.83

I accept PayPal

It doesn’t help that this could change by the time it ships and be even more….
