Just linking, no idea who made it.
Well, this expedition is creepy right from the get-go, allthough probably not intentionally…
I had just warped with my freighter, when suddenly another player was standing in the corridor. The chat exclaimed “Help! Life support! Now!”. Not being a multiplayer person I had no idea how to help, but given he was standing in a freighter, there shouldn’t be need to worry, right? Well, the next moment he was yanked out of existence, and I’ve got a message that he just dies.
“Huh, that’s quite somethin”, I think to myself, when I see the same message from another player with a live support emergency, and he too died shortly after. I didn’t have any visual on that one though. “Well,” me thinks, “some people sure are careless with their supplies!”
When in the next moment, I get frantically wrenched from my freighters bridge out into the cold void of space by an unseen force.
“Help! Life support! Now!” Is probably the last thing people saw from me before I bought the farm. I get greeted to the afterlife by the words “We are each of us alone. What else can we do but hold out our hand in the dark?” “Ineed!”, I think, “not that it helps much. Oh well, I hadn’t much on me, so not much lost, ey?”.
Then the game crashed…
lol…geez though.
Actually I had a random appear on my freighter as well…but I warped away…in my defense he didn’t ask for help…
The first thing I do when I warp with the freighter, is move out and call it somewhere else. The freighters spawn in the same spot.
So you’re possibly blocked by another freighter.
CRAPPPPPPP! lol.
Looked into files a bit…didn’t want to be spoiled so I avoid looking at too much…
but a couple of the new catalog objects … … can’t wait!!!
wont spoil.
Can’t get Milestone 16 / 16 / 16 (Visit the Atlas) to fire. Nada tells me nothing, just gives me a few nanites if I’ve been traveling about.
Does anyone who has been able to start this Phase 4 task have any advice for me?
I just looked about in the galactic map & sourced an Atlas Station that way (looks like a grave symbol)
Alternatively, make sure you select the alternative mission in the log to make Polo offers the co-ordinates via your conversation.
Try talking to Polo. I think he gave the paths now, though now I’m just getting tech from them. Also try selecting the task so it is current, then go into the galactic map. For me one or the other made the atlas path show up as a red line and I could see the system with the atlas marked.
The instructions say to go to Nada. Is that wrong?
Thats what the spoiler topic is for. Some of us like to see that stuff lol.
Yes. That is wrong. I spoke to Polo
I fell through the floor of my freighter while i was in the freighter warp map, died of suffocation. Then responded at a nearby planet and fell through the floor as soon as the world loaded., died of suffocation. Then responded again on planet… flew back to my freighter, got out the ship, fell through the floor on instant and suffocated till I died… oh boy.
Would you mind sharing that with spoiler tag? Im sure people (like me :P) would love to see those!
I’m just checking to make sure, is the mission for the milestone active when you talk to Polo?
I restarted the game and once I could get to Polo (after the first warp) I got:
And in the galaxy map I saw the atlas system.
I backed up to the previous save point and left the conversation without picking anything and the next time we talked it was the dialog that you had. I haven’t had time to look for anything else that could restart this dialog. If I can squeeze in some time tomorrow I’ll play around with this (we have to wait anyway : )
Well then, guess this update highlights a big ol’ multiplayer freighter warping bug!
I may have unintentionally spaced a player myself yesterday. After warping my freighter into a new system, I flew off in my starship to explore. On returning, I noticed another player inside. I greeted them, and they emoted back, but I don’t think they understood me. By their actions, I got the feeling they thought they were in their own freighter. I took off again for a while, but absent-mindedly called my freighter to the planet I was on. I have no idea what happened to the guy, I didn’t see a death message, and he was no longer in the nearby players list. He may have been dumped out when it warped like @jedidia & friends, or maybe even just when I flew out-of-range and it shifted players between lobbies.
I was also surprised to find he’d apparently built a Fleet Control Room and Portable Refiner in my ship! (I didn’t remember new games default to anyone can build in your bases). So this poor dude was probably warped into my freighter by accident thinking he was still in his own, just minding his own business doing the normal fleet questline when whoosh, he’s a Gek-cicle.
Yeah, I noticed that I suddenly had a fleet control room and a save point without ever building one!
I created a bug report " #458538 Freighters spawn in the same location"
It was even worse in te previous expedition. If you took the freighter in the first system.
Here a page as how they got to the alphabet:

Hmm apparently the first expedition translates to “pioneering” instead of “pioneers”
