Yup, it’s changeable in your preferences → interface → theme.
Oooh there’s dark mode variants for each theme too. I like Magenta/Purple way too much to change it though </3
Apparantly the colour on the Message input window is “Pansy Purple” ![]()
Yep. Me3 (me2 was co-opted
)
I am also seeing a ‘PULL’ in that 2nd image ![]()
Thank you, Alphabet champions, I was waiting for this ![]()
Any idea what the forcefield around the flatbed says? Or is it repurposed from Anomaly/Space Station?
Thanks!
I forgot it…![]()
Caution was all that I saw on the truck bed
That vat for the biohazard waste seriously means it. Do not dip in for a swim if you fancy your digits being fully formed.
These were hard to spot on the ‘Skyborn’ torso, as they appear behind a chest plate.

Whadoyamean? My first order of business was to jump into each colourful liquid! But not into the scrap metal compactor, because that doesn’t give me superpowers.
Being a 2 dimensional person is kind of a super power, you can hide behind fridges and stuff, or escape under door frames…
@DevilinPixy Thanks for all this info. I had a quick check in the NMS credits to see if I could spot any D. Covic’s or anyone with a similar name. Failing to find any connection to a named person on the team past or present, it might be an easter egg for a loved one/friend/family member of someone who works on the art team.
One thing I did learn is that NMS’s new water effects are done using a modified version of Crest Ocean System , So it was still a fruitful endeavour.
The right arm patch crest seems to be letters and numbers?
0 Y (dot?) T 0 Y (dot?)
The dots are the same as periods, but higher up, could they be the syumbol for ' ?
I don’t think we have one for that yet? The symbol for zero is also a little longer the second time, so maybe its '0y't00y ?
Either way none of it makes sense.
I considered it could have been applied upside down too unintentionally but you gotta make some leaps to make them match existing symbols and letters.
.FT0.FT or .1T0.1T
If it’s supposed to be verticle… It doesn’t seem to work at all
I came up empty too, for any D. Covic to make sense. The unsolved patch remains a mystery, no matter how I look at it.
Time to write a heart melting letter to NMS about a totally made up child I don’t have.
Dear Hello Games,
My son and/or daughter loves all things space and they are obsessed with puzzles and language. When they grow up they say they want to be an astronaut and decode alien tongues when first contact is made. They had great fun over the summer learning to decode your special alien language for no man’s sky and it’s their favourite thing to do outside of exploring ruins and lore.
Lately they have been unable to rest as they are having trouble with the writing found on the starborn exosuit. They can’t make heads nor tails of some of it, they randomly exclaim OY TOY now and they keep asking me to figure out who this D. Covic might be. They ask everyone they meet and when I told them maybe we could write them a letter, they got so very excited.
Hoping you can help put their mind at ease and feed their curiosity some what,
Thanks for making this amazing game that has sparked my son and/or daughter’s imagination,
Your’s Sincerely,
Probably a Father. (There’s no way you can ever truly know. Just take my word for it, these are all real people.)
Gopher it! Send the query!! ![]()
There’s new stuff on the Gravitino Coil too
An extremely different character set than what we’re used to but seems similar in some aspects.
I don’t think it says anything as in some cases it seems to just repeat itself, most noteable in the orange hazard label. The black one is also just mirrored on the flip side.
It seems like its mostly artistic filler but maybe theres something I’m not seeing
This has shown up on various things for a while. It is interesting. I like the way it looks.
I once watched an Aliens (the movie) documentary & there was a part in it regarding all the lables & icons used throughout the sets that you barely notice. Everything had a destinct meaning & placement plan & was aligned very much like our own Workplace Health & Safety signage. Much of it goes completely unnoticed in the background yet its serves to give a very defined industrial aesthetic & mood.
