These might be rotated or mirrored - Iâm not good at guessing in a foreign language
And this is the other font (the one I call NOMAD) that is readable for English native speakers, but Iâm too tired right now.
Moved you to a new thread for Worlds.
Monolith Dark Fragrance for Gek.
Zone 2 and I think the other one is only patially showing.
I put an additional link at the top from Echoes.
And the number 1 on the alphabet chart is backwards. The dot above the line should be on the right and the symbol for ! needs to be added
For clarity
Zones 1 2 3
The 1 is the same all over the space station.
The symbol on the end is an !
Keep clear!
Yeah, I later noticed that you had already found these in March, in another thread, oopsâŚ
I have not looked around since Worlds so there may be more out there. Definitely some posters coming with the expedtion 14
Edit: the new posters are blurry like the last ones. However, they cleared up so I assume these will too.
Iâve noticed the gone fishing poster has a date on it, 1982 however it uses a reverse version of the number one, or what you have to assume is the same as one for the text to make sense.
This character is used as an unknown character with a question mark as well as one other on the no mans sky wiki that appears to be the mirror of the number three.
So if this mystery has not been solved I think itâs fair to guess the numbering in the nms alphabet that uses squares to designate 1 and 3 can be mirrored as they still fall in line with the numbering mechanics.
Now has anyone tried calling the number at the bottom? I thought it might be the last few digits to hello games company telephone number but doesnât seem to be.
948247?
Yes. I have noticed this for a while and even contacted a couple of people on X who put out the original chart but no one seems interested in changing itâŚ
To be honest, I think sometimes mistakes are made when using this alphabet. If you look at the âCall 0??â I think it is supposed to say âCall 016â, the grammar police
Seems the thread for this question/discussion.
The typeface that âthe cursedâ are speaking to us through, if itâs not the same as the font used for The Abyss update logo itâs certainly similar (I have yet to check).
If it is the same, itâs a fitting choice.
Iâm wondering if anyone knows the name for this Typeface family? I think I will be needing it for the next Lore Compendium I make.
I cannot WAIT to make the one for this expedition omg Iâm so excited⌠I just spent yesterday finalising Utopia and it was a lot of stitching things out of groups and into the correct order and none of it exciting or abyss based.
One thing I thought was interesting though was, Utopia leads into Singularity and one of the last story parts from Utopia is about machinery digging too deep and waking something up
Preamble aside⌠Typeface. Thatâs what Iâm here about. Typeface!

Honestly, Iâm not at all sure yet how the two relate. The abyss/void mother is part of this reality, given that itâs basically the old korvax convergence gone insane.
The Atlas, however, is more complicated⌠Technically itâs not, since itâs the AI running the simulation(s). On the other hand, it also seemsto be an instance in the simulation to âmanageâ the current one.
The boundary breaches are clearly a symptom of the Atlas breaking down, but the intruders would not necessarily be connected to the void mother. To a void mother from a different reality, maybe. I think my brain starts telling me to stop nowâŚ
I was kind of thinking the same thing some times with the way the messages were coming through, especially when some words that would ordinarily be in purple were showing up in Crimson (these are also grouped together in their own section seperate from the others in the LangFiles.)
But the more I played on the more I realised it was the Abyss but theyâre using the opportunity to also have us thinking about LNF and things outside of the simulation.
I also re read the patch notes post. They specifically bring up revisiting threads from Atlas Rises and the Portals it brought to the game. They then go on to say, itâs up to the player to decide who they think is sending the messages.
So itâs purposefully vague but I guess thatâs to say, it could be Artemis if you want it to be. It could be Ariadne.
Or in my case, the traveller greeting me at the final grave for A Voice, was Paul the Friendly Badger. Heâs always been here. The whole time. (Donât unblur Paul if you havenât finished the expedition)
