It explains my apprehension (I had no clue that PS4 pre-orders included 10k units as part of their pre-order). About 99.9% of video games nowadays are monetized and usually include in-game currency as part of their pre-order bonus.

In case of this particular image, I think it was mostly done as a joke. At least I do find the āgolden fighter platingā pretty funny.
Absolutely. Yes, give some incentive to pre-purchasers. But existing players? We donāt need encouraging - theyāre already giving us a new game, for free.
I suppose there are creatures in Numbskull Land who think this sort of thing is funny.

I just donāt see the point to be honestā¦minor things like 10k units or 100k units are not going to make a huge difference. Iām just insanely happy for the massive updates themselves and all the vast amount of free content weāre getting.

Thereās not much point, really. Weāve created a situation where many gamers find it outright rude if you donāt offer a preorder bonus. What theyāre doing is a courtesy, really, not much more.
