Sorry this isn’t related to No Man’s Sky or Waking Titan, but I guess that’s why we have an Off Topic section. I wanted to share my mother’s eulogy video with you all in this community.
I can sympathize. My mom passed away a few years ago from cancer that spread from her lungs to all over. She was a chain smoker, and it caught up to her. It was inoperable too, so she passed away at home.
I’ll have to add that people don’t become angels. They are a unique class of beings like humans. But I appreciate the imagery.
I am sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. My thoughts are with you and everyone else involved.
I’m so sorry about your mother. My mother tried to eat and live really healthy to avoid cancer since both her parents died of it, but it seems it can happen to anyone.
Yes, I don’t believe people become angels, it was figurative language like you said.
I’m sorry to hear your news. You have my sympathy. Losing your parents is hard.
Losing my father was so hard that 6 years later I sometimes still cry because I miss him so much. It is our faith and beliefs that give us the courage and the strength to cope in times of loss. When you have a quite moment @MacForADay, read Rev. 21:3,4 and remember that is a promise. May it comfort you in the trying days, weeks and even months to come. To mourn is human. Don’t deny yourself the tears but, don’t become consumed by them either. Remember the good moments. Remember that a part of her lives on in you.
All my condolences to you and family.
Loss of this kind is extremely difficult, particularly when you have to make hard decisions. I fully understand & sympathise with you Mac.
Condolences to you and your family.
For me, death puts life into perspective in a rather brutish way, but it has made me philosophical about it all. The meaning of life, how I try and conduct myself around other people, how I try to be kind and generous as I can - and often fail miserably. Eh, we’re all sinners with the flaw of matter.
It’s also made me addicted to space games, particularly No Man’s Sky. It prods at the eternal questions of why we’re here and how we should live. Along with that, when I’m flying through such a heavenly galaxy, even with its problems and mysteries, it makes me feel a little closer to Heaven. The majesty and mystery of this universe is wonderful, and it makes you realize how small you truly are.
I know how this feels and you have all my sympathy aswell Mac.
Losing someone we love is the hardest to bear thing life can throw at us. My heart goes out to you and those who grieve along with you, @MacForADay. Bless you.
My condolances. Living the life in honour of them. To me that is our life cycle. We are genetically programmed in this way.
No Man’s Sky is full of this wisdom too…
Sorry to hear Mac. :sorrow: :relate:
Been there too Mac, thoughts with you buddy.
Im very sorry for your loss…
Thank you so much for sharing this with us Mac. That was beautiful. I’m sorry for your loss and I wish you peace. God bless.
I wish all the best in the next instance
One of my Spacing Guild members, NoahIsMyBoy, built me a wonderful memorial to my mother inside the simulation.
Wow.
I am very happy for you Mac. That’s a hell of a great tribute.
Nice to see some great support like that, man!
Enjoy it and take care home slice
Apologies for the delay in responding. We are all sorry to hear about this. I am too experienced in this area, have lost 3 sets of people by the time I was 23 years old, natural parents, adoptive parents, and the couple who took legal guardianship of me. I’ve become numb to losses and am sorry I didn’t respond to you right away because of that.
