Okay does anybody know a way round this one or a fix?
Now we can’t seem to find my sons original starting system we thought it may be that as he now made a base at my system I moved myself to Euclid found a nice Planet, and he joined me on it a little way into the game on the same save of course- I have nearly 500 hrs game play hrs so hope you get the picture here.
The problem is I have even seen him myself and got him to stream the game, so I could see him do the portal etc yet still no markers or change in the mission, wondering if it is because he has to be in his starting system - problem is how to find that-- We have backtracked, or we tried through the station portals, and he tried through the anomaly Portal as well.
So the mission will not progress please see pic to get an idea of where in the mission he is -
Can not seem to reset the mission at all this on PS4 Pro, and he does not want to start again as due to other game braking bugs ’ if he started again it would be the 3rd time’ and as you can imagine pain in butt he 100% does not want to do that.
We have sent a ticket in but as usual no response nothing unusual there with Zen and Hello.
We have googled like hell with old solutions that don’t work since beyond is now out PS he started his game just before the release of Beyond .
So you Gang are my last point of call and hope someone in the Ps4 community platform knows a way to continue the Mish or some way round it… Fingers crossed - Different for PC players as they can Edit etc.
I have to admit I am definitely not impressed with the issues which are many on the console version since Beyond it is like we have returned to the very first release of the bad days when the game was very first released!
Thanks in advance for any ideas, as again starting the whole game again for him is like hello taking the Bleep - lol
No not tried a black hole, but he has jumped to my other base which is in Eissentam from Euclid’ I thought that may’ve triggered a change yet still nothing.
But thanks for that bit of information @SingularGleam is that suppose to trigger the mission reset or something?
Cheers
(Ignore what I said previously and try this first) I believe he is set to speak to Apollo and I see the Weapons Research needs to be done. Apollo asks you to upgrade your weapon which requires the Weapons Research mission to be completed. Perhaps he needs to complete that first and then the Apollo/Null mission will appear.
I agree we have tried to backtrack but with no luck - but will try the black hole move - you never know it may work- Failing that just painstakingly search the galaxy but no markers are showing up like they use too in Next - Will try all those suggestions thanks @sheralmyst
For most of the story missions, once you are super far away, they give a reset option to place the mission near where you are. I don’t know that it will work, but worth a shot imo
@SingularGleam
We tried that there is no option to reset like you used to get in Next click on mission and it was press down on Ps4 stick etc and place that mission where you maybe at.
Sadly that’s does not seem to be an option in the game – well on the Ps4 side at the moment or it is not working Bugged perhaps
If you are looking for your starting system, you can go to the discoveries tab of the menu and scroll to the very bottom of the list of star systems. That should be your starting system. You could then try to find the name in the list at the space station teleporter. On the galaxy map, there is an option to point you towards your “current mission”, you could try that as well.
Judging by the message displayed in your screenshot, you are at the beginning of that section of the questline. I believe you need to locate a holo-terminus to contact Apollo. They aren’t particularly common, but you can find them by searching a plant’s surface. You could try manually activating the mission by finding one on your own and interacting with it
Looking at the image you provided, he has spoken to Apollo, talking about what he did with Artemis’ soul.
He would then be tasked to find a Portal, which means finding a Monolith first, which points to one. Then find said portal, charging the 16 glyphs to obtain the glyph sequence which should then be reported back to Apollo at a Holo Terminus.
The above is not yet marked on the mission objectives. I am curious which of the above steps have been done and where or if he has yet to find a Portal to get the glyph sequence.
Thanks for responses. @DevilinPixy
From what I saw and also know my son has already done Artemis and chose to kill him he also did power up all the glyphs at the portal but as you can see in pic it is still requesting him to do, so we tried at least 2 times also tried different portals in case - I am suspecting it is because it is not at the starting system he was at originally also no way to reset for where he is now on the PS4 it does not give the option like it did in Next.
Just to add to advice on finding first planet in discovery list, it isn’t always necessarily the bottom of the list as it’s ordered by discovery date. So if you visit another travellers system that was discovered before your starter system, they will be bottom of the list. Just look for the first one that doesn’t have a little icon of a person next to it.
This is why I keep a notebook with systems I want to return to and a brief description of them. Always visit the Space Station so it will show in the Terminus list. Still not a 100% guarantee.
My teleporter & discoveries listings were dramatically shortened by BEYOND. Simply no way to find the way home except…
If you have photos or video from near the begining this may include footage of use of a signal booster.
Those coordinates plotted via the Pilgrim App may provide you with the home system portal address or somewhere nearby. This could then be selected via the discoveries tab as a way point and then it could potentially be warped to.
My suggestion would be to continue playing as per normal and just see if something triggers and allows the glitched mission to continue.
Welcome to the forum @ThndrFckMcPckpTrck
The portal at the Space Station will keep track of a limited amount of bases and systems. The portal on the Anomaly will keep track of many more. I am not quite sure if it keeps track of all systems visited. It has a Recent tab.
If you want to return someplace, be sure to build a base.
