Big shout out to the YouTube fam (Lplays, Cobra, Mac, Kyle etc), my phone was abuzz last nihjt with notifications of live streams and I managed to catch the Sean interview.
You could notice he was visibly more fidgety and nervous than usual and very careful with what he spoke about, both to prevent revealing information meant for the community actively involved with the ARG and to prevent a repeat of the hype train and resulting death threats caused by his candidness in prior interviews. And live too!
For a moment, when asked about what they have planned for after NEXT, you can see him struggle internally not to excitedly talk about the first new idea that came into his head in the shower that morning.
Handled it pretty well and sent a good message to the people who don’t already understand HG, “love making games, don’t like talking about making games” or something along those lines.
The fluid nature of small teams means most everything is in flux and never certain and a lot of people didn’t seem to understand this during no man sky’s development or when watching Sean talk about the game.
I guess as someone who grew up reading developer diaries and interviews in the 90s it wasn’t strange to me, but for a new generation raised on huge PR campaigns by massive studios where every detail is meticulously poured over before discussed by public spokesman for the company, I can understand their unfamiliarity with it.
I think with the launch on x1, HG and NMS will finally get the reception they/it deserved way back in August 2016 and I can’t wait to explore the stars, fully realised, with all of you

I’m seeing the same status from the 15th?
I have been observing the paths of the red dots on the Myriad dashboard. their orbits seem to be centered on New Zeeland, and the coast of India/Pakistan.
