I certainly would. I know how honored I personally felt when my eyeball jar was chosen as a Glitching Reality. And for the 'FAM to be immortalized in-game? Priceless.

My report is already in a few weeks ago (actually maybe less than that), after it was discovered in data mining there was discussion on MAIN FAM Discord (and a bit of celebration there) .. I dont know how many have submitted requests for that but at least a few I know of.

This has probably been pointed out but its worth noting that the 2nd clue image is the oria v portal, i tried to line up the a screenshot and it matches pretty closesly.

i couldnt get the exact fov but im sure its the same one

Nope, when @Yashori saw the coords we start to check the planet with the portal, Oria V then, but like on earth it is in the middle of the water. But if you go there you should find the beacon I let 2 days ago

I think only the WT planet has something at these coords.

Which makes sense because iteration 16 and the Q&A at the coords are all from WT. WT getting it’s own milestone for the expedition shows how strong of a memory was created for us players but also for HG and A&S who created it.

Yes but i’d love another building or commball (a submarine one for Oria V i.e) which tell “Wrong planet” :joy:

“You’re not supposed to be here.”

bit of a reach but maybe “plain sight” is a reference to plains as in the biome. oria v can be pretty plain-y. or the WT planet is plain as in empty

Im late to the party, but glad I still showed up!

Going to go get my title now!

That’s the thing : you can’t, at least not directly, because you have to use it.

But there must be a workaround for everyone, even on console.

By deleting it from inventory, the interaction now show ‘unlock’, whereas previously it said something like “use Atlas pass 4”. It means @oldgods have foreseen travellers ‘loosing’ it.

 Tricky tricky kzzztk

So here the plan. Keep only the pass in your inventory, put everything else in your starship.

Then die. (No we’re not on uncivilized social platform, lol)

Yes, Die with your precious Atlas pass 4.

Don’t go back to your grave until you progress up to the point it should just say now ‘unlock’. Because now your new iteration doesn’t have it.

Then go back to your grave and your previously iteration just gift you your brand new shiny, Atlas pass n⁰4 !

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Now finish the expedition and transfer it to your main save, or keep this new save.

Haha, guilty as charged
@tractorbeam Sorry for the false alarm

bad idea.

First died from hazardous plant on Oria V with Atlas pass 4 only. Unlock message as planned. but grave disappeared. TP between systems may did it vanished.

Then this . Thanks to biological horror near target interaction on target planet. but nope. Interacted, unlock message as planned then rapidly retrieving existing grave before being TP back to first system. All other items retrieved but not Atlas 4 pass. :person_facepalming:

Seaaaaann!

PS also tried to put it in the freighter, but nope. (from monolith at ship spawning start, locate portal but don’t charge it, then pursue mission and it will direct you to another system, where you’ll save a freighter from pirate and it will give you a freighter early). it even disappeared from a freighter inventory even parked in another system!!!

//(dĂ©jĂ  que mon dĂ©gĂąt des eaux m’a coutĂ© mon pass Atlas IV, je veux le garder celui lĂ !!)

Regarding that first clue, here is something from wikipedia, away from usual greek mythology

Hyperion is a 1989 science fiction novel by American author Dan Simmons. The first book of his Hyperion Cantos series, it won the Hugo Award for best novel.[1] The plot of the novel features multiple time-lines and is told from the points of view of many characters. It follows a similar structure to The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer. A framing narrative serves as a means to present the tales of a group of pilgrims sent to Hyperion’s Time Tombs, to make a request of the Shrike, a metallic creature that is said to grant a wish to one pilgrim in the group. The story is continued in The Fall of Hyperion, published in 1990.[2][3]

So who will have a closer l:eyes:k at that giant robotic base ? From the story we should be 7 travellers/pilgrims and one of us should have a wish granted

So this was just a hint to unlock a special title during the expedition, not the kick-off to another ARG? I would be more than fine with that

I actually enjoyed this. A short burst of excitement with a puzzle to solve. I would not mind more moments like that.

I think its probably a tease, or prologue at something bigger. Though i wouldn’t mind it being just an easter egg instead.

Edit: I doubt this small easter egg would be that significant for oldgods to post about it. Im pretty sure its something bigger.

I started a new standalone exp save just to pick up that title. Dude is still there, hanging out at the secret shelter with his Atlas4 Pass, just in case

This is unnecessary, just place it in a portable refiner and pick it up before you teleport away.

On the paper, yes!
