I’ve heard that the video game BALL X PIT is what if those mobile games were real and actually good.
I also find it extremely funny to say out loud and I wonder if the Devs realise it too.

3i/ATLAS was discovered on July 1st 2025 with a brightness of magnitude 16. Since then, i have been thinking how crazy this would be if it was all somehow an elaborate ARG clue before August, and that Hello Games was planning the whole thing.
SETI somehow decoded the Fibonacci-sequence pulses as “Observe. Prepare. Understand. The Gate Awaits.”
Im like… what gate? is there a portal code fo that? And the importance space people bring towards the 1420 MHz Hydro signals have me rollin LoL.
Seriously tho, did those computer people wait on purpose until 3i/ATLAS was at a distance of 420 million imperial miles from the Sun to announce the discovery? or is that really is when they discovered the thing?
Maybe the big secret is how consumption of vaporized processed plant matter is the best way to have breathable air for humans to travel and survive interstellar.

I somehow doubt HG has time to keep up with all the discoveries and asteroids and comets. I would also imagine a lot of objects are at a brightness of 16. I mean, there are billions of objects out there.
There may, however, be astronomers and night gawkers who play NMS and have a lot of free time on their hands. Watching the night sky is not nearly so glamorous as the movies portray.

Far be it from me to burst anyone’s particular bubble, but the designation of the object is 3i. ATLAS is the name of the detection network that found it. The network has discovered dozens of comets, all of them bearing the suffix “ATLAS”

On October 16th, 2024 the naked eyes of many Earth beings were looking towards the west mere minutes after sunset and witnessed the anti-tail of Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS at a brightness magnitude of 2 . The brightest since Comet Hale–Bopp that passed by over 30 years ago.

It’s a good thing 3i wasn’t discovered by the American astronomer Elizabeth Lada. Otherwise it might have been kown as “3i/Lada” - and some would be pondering the mystical significance of badly made Russian cars.

Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System detected C/2015 X7 (ATLAS) on December 12th, 2015. This would make tomorrow the 10 year anniversary of the first discovery with the designation ATLAS. How come the word impact does not get a capital letter, is it a silent i or something?
Next Year in 2026 is the 10 year anniversary for No Man’s Sky.

In a statement from Harvard University, Avi Loeb said “This change in the spaceship’s behaviour is obviously due to it emitting vast clouds of little green men. Mainstream science has long mocked the little green men theory - now we have proof”.

Pretty sure there has been 1 little green man in my life. I knew he was a bit off but I thought it was because he was more intelligent than most. Devious would be a better word. I could have used some drugs and alcohol.
The Martians by David Baron has been a fun read. It dives into the history of the Martian craze. The yellow press played a hand in the spreading of the idea. We now live in a world where yellow press is being pushed to the front lines with AI promoting absurd and even dangerous ideas. I hate to see where it leads. Little green men seem so innocent now.
I really must see his electrical tub substitute…is there a patent somewhere?
