Having 6 nice planets had its hidden problems, mainly to do with Rare Underground creatures. Finally found the last one just today so the system is entirely mine at last.
Updated my Wasp Nest Portal bar a bit, turned out to be a nice idea ( though its a bit of a health & safety nightmare, drunken people falling off the edge 
good job we all have jet packs, though after a few sherbets we will be flying around like bumbling bumble bees instead of wasps )

Went to an exclusive Bar, called the “Wasp Nest Portal - m0lz 971” an exclusive venue for Rainbow Parties (booze available and munchies, bring your own NipNip).
It has see through floors which is a bit bad if you have vertigo (and if the wife is wearing a skirt).
Bit of a Health & Safety issue, drunk visitors can easily fall off the edge, fortunately we all have jet packs so (drunkenly) bounce about like bumble bees instead of wasps when falling off.

Having a bit of fun keeping it jovial, but the question is for real. I am now getting RL spam in the email address used. And system is the only new addressee I have communicated with in the last, uhm, 8 years ish. Previously it has been sound and not passed on to third parties I was not aware of.
I used an email address I have not used for ages (its a throwaway one I keep for such things as this).
My email address has never been disclosed on PSS
No malware, and no typos in the couple of emails to System.
Getting spam on that email address is veeery unusual, “Check out my boobss” and betting crap.
If you already get spam then you wont be able to tell whats new, but my email address previously had none.
Edit: I guess those of you laughing only read the first half of the post!.
Sent system another email in case my previous PS could not be distinguished as real from the usual postcard stuff.

I’m pretty good at locking things down to protect the family, custom DNS resolvers (Quad9 primary and Cloudflare secondary) set in the router to help anyone steer clear of 90 odd percent of the ills of the internet. Any IOT devices only get online connection via the guest network, so are separate from valuable devices communications (Steve Gibson Security Now! fan), and use UBlock Origin to weed out other advertisement related malware for everyone.
My email client is Mozilla Thunderbird, which is set to not allow remote content, and as previously mentioned manages 5 different email addresses, the one used for contacting system is checked regularly to keep it a viable usable email address, for the rare occasion I need to actually use it as a throwaway email.
Never use pr0n or w4r3z sites, regularly change passwords. Periodically I do a complete system re-install (wipe the SSD) to clean out the windows build up of system slow down. Dont have any system tray apps (the usual vendor applied auto-runs crap, or even OneDrive running). Dont have cloud, and documents are only backed up locally to an external USB drive.
So I am pretty certain with this being the only time I have used that email address for years, and with it being previously completely clean of spam, the only addressee that may have inadvertantly passed on my email address somehow .. is system.
I wonder, did you comment on any of the Shared Dreams gallery images? If so, I wonder if it’s possible to find a user’s email address somehow. Wordpress sites get a LOT of bots, especially the type you describe, and I’m wondering if perhaps they were able to somehow scrape email addresses from there.
M0lz I’m wondering if you’ve used the comment form on The Shared Dream and entered the same email into this? Might be a security issue with those forms on Wordpress maybe or a malicious browser tracker got on your system somehow?
No no comments, the only interaction was via email for the few occasions needed for this ARG.
What bots can do these days IDK, but I am very guarding of my email addresses, even the throw aways.

I have now run Windows Defender in offline mode (ie it boots up the machine preventing the system running and does a thorough scan).
I have also run Malwarebytes for a thorough second opinion .. All clean.
I only run one FF addon, UBlock Origin.
Edit: Anyway getting a bit off topic, so will rap, I am pretty sure I have not inadvertently given away my email address or been plundered for it in some fashion. Just be wary guys if you are not using a throw away email address. Bedtime for me
