How to access purple star systems?

I am having trouble on how to access purple star systems. can you buy the upgrades at space stations?

Hello & welcome to our community.

The purple systems become available as part of the game progress requiring most other missions & quests to have been completed beforehand.

Simply playing through & finishing all the lead up missions will open up a mission that centres around purple systems, also allowing you to access them.

I think that it is a recipe that you learn. You have to complete some of the stories (Atlas Path, Artemis and Autophage), Trigger the Interstellar Multitudes quest (from memory you need a star seed for that one), and that will give you a blueprint. You can build the drive from there.

@mastercoordinates First of all, welcome to the forum. I have adjusted the category for the topic you created. I’ll provide some answers below.

Before being able to access purple systems, you will have to finish certain quests, as they are more late/end game content.

The requirements are as follows (in order):

  • Complete the Artemis path (main story)
  • ‘Atlas Eternal’ has to be present in your mission log, after having completed the Atlas Path.
  • Now you have to find a Harmonic Camp and release the multi-tool seal.
  • After this you can warp to trigger ‘They Who Returned’ to complete the Autophage missions.
  • Now return to space and use the Pulse Drive, stop Pulse Drive when you see the quest’s Space Encounter for a new mission ‘In Stellar Multitudes’.
    • Warning :
      Do not leave the Atlas Station system you’ll go to in the quest without visiting its space station or claiming a base computer on one of its planets.
  • Now finish the above mission to reveal all purple systems on the galaxy map.

Harmonic camps are planetside point of interests.

Find a dissonant planet, and look for Radiant Mirrors on the visor scanner.

Destroying them sometimes rewards harmonic scanners which will direct you to a harmonic camp on the planet.

Sometimes you can get lucky and stumble on to them. However they will not kick start the Autophage quest line until you have finished the previous steps of Artemis quest/Atlas Eternal status, if im not mistaken.

You will discover them as part of the quest which also helps you to make sense of them if you can follow the lore…good luck! :wink:
