Hello Games, DM21 Gaming wants to sell Xbox players on No Man's Sky. Please give him and others enough info to do so

So I went through the whole video and his points though valid would only be concerning IF NMS was going to be a first time launch. Since it is a “Port to Xbox and WeGame” per se, the concerns that the XBox Community has, voiced out by DM21 can be sorted by whatever material is out there. Condensing the whole counter-point:

  1. If they need trailer of what exists In-Game, they exist in other platforms for reference, along with all the expansions. Exhaustive patch notes are available. Plus as he says Cobra, JustJarrod, KhrazeGaming, LegacyZero and LPlays have all made comprehensive videos covering these.

  2. Information about NEXT, Multiplayer, the modes on how it functions, etc are held back from everyone: existing players and inquisitive minds alike. It will be revealed in due time. However, it PROBABLY WONT differ starkly to whatever mechanics are existent now but will add to it and improve on the loose ends. What the game offers is out there .

  3. The Modus Operandi of HG marketing is very SUBJECTIVELY debatable. Them choosing to participate in extended foreplay of dripping information flies in the face of traditional marketing, but perhaps it is to avoid any unforeseen backlash . And possibly them hoping the merit of the game will bring in players. But as a business they’ve chosen to do this. Perhaps they will change their course later.

  4. I understand the desire for him to sell the game forward to a whole new platform and with his reach, he probably can. He can do a brilliant job by just working with whatever Information is out there, and it will still entice players. Let them have a little taste of mystery and wonder as we all do and make a decision after facts are revealed.

What’s with the rush anyways :rofl:
Smoke some GekNip and relax.

Ah good ol’ DM21. Its not the first time i have heard him whining and taking this approach

The way i see it is there are a range of these YouTubers trying to carve out popularity and careers and are not recognized traditional media outlets. So somehow they get caught up in the “i have X 000s of followers” and they obviously are exclusive to my channel therefore bring your promo/product etc to me and i will make your more money.

So ya to me its quite arrogant. HG have an established game and player base and marketing channels and strategically use the YouTube channels as well.

This XBox launch is different in that it is simultaneously an update on other platforms and the current version and update path all the way from v1 is well documented.

HG and their publishers would have considered their strategy and like any business are executing that. The self-important people trying to personally cash in and try and align and be seen as playing a bigger role dont deserve the extra exposure we have now given him/them.

Maybe its just sour grapes because there are more recognised/dedicated and included YouTube channels for NMS eg CobraTV being specifically contacted by Emily for the ARG.

Blah blah …real world issues… #whatever
