“The Weak Will Perish…”
LMAO! So here is what happened in TX. They have a stand-alone power grid. No provisions to buy power from any other state. They are the biggest power producer and consumer in the country. They decided to take on renewable energy and now receive 35% of their power from wind turbines. The rest is oil and natural gas. The unprecedented cold froze the gas, shut down the refineries and stopped the turbines spinning. They have no backup plan.
That being said, even AR and other states who buy from each other are also having to ask customers to conserve. From N Dakota to LA…this is history in the making.
Meanwhile, my bushes have pompadours
16 inches and about 10 more hours to go.
I’m not sure where the laugh is in that… I’m not sure what planet that guy lives on, but I don’t think it’s even in the solar system anymore.
It’s very dark humour. Real people genuinely voted for this guy.
As the old saying goes, “Be careful what you wish for - you may actually get it”.
I thought the weak flew to Cancun.
Well, the state of Arkansas was commended tonight for conserving power. We have only had a few 30 minute rolling blackouts. I have not experienced any. Now we have been asked to conserve water across the entire state. Mainlines are frozen everywhere. In the meantime, a snowplow came through and I now have 3 feet of snow at the end of my driveway. I am trapped! It will take forever for that to melt. In the end, had 20 inches of snow.
The Shortest, Fattest Man in the World
This chap, a fellow resident of my home city, is 17 stone (108 Kg), but registered by his doctor as being only 6.2 centimetres tall. This gave him an astonishing body mass index of 28,000. Read on…
So I am hoping a computer crunched the numbers because if it was a person…

Life imitates No Man’s Sky… Triple star system found!
Ternary systems are certainly nothing new. They’re not even that rare (in fact, the largest system of stars with a stable gravitational bond between its members I’m aware of includes 7 stars) It might be that this is the first exoplanet in a ternary system that has been found, it’s hard to keep track of the buggers… If so, that’s cool, but also not unexpected after they started showing up around binaries.

Red Lead is an interesting compound. Is there anything ARG going on right now with No Man’s Sky?
