I’m a bit torn on snake eater remake. I mostly boycott Konami because of their business model, the horror stories of their sauna houses and work climate and mostly because of how they did Kojima bad.
But god damn I really really love snake eater and even though I played the original very recently I wouldn’t mind trying it with shiny new graphics.
I believe Hideo Kojima is not happy about it at all.
I’m torn! To reiterate.
I’m still running around Death Stranding 2 so you might see some of my bridges and things when you dive in. I nearly have the platinum trophy so I decided to stay a little while longer and scoop it up.
Oh I do have one major issue with new snake eater that might just be a me thing, because I haven’t seen many people talking about it or disturbed by it.
The hair is all wrong. Like it just looks too much like gelled anime fronds. It reminds me of ugly box art I used to marvel at in a video store for the N64.
Which I’m now learning was also a Konami Game 
maybe it’s an intentional throw back, or they were working on a gritty reboot that was cancelled and they asset flipped the very specific hair tech
Having just played a game he made where the characters hair could get greasy and matted and gooey and bloody depending how long you’re out in the field, I imagine he has trouble looking at these screenshots too

I was only listening to cherry blossoms the other day.( Lalala laaa laaaa laaa lalala laaa laaa. )
I always imagine if I need to explain to an alien what a video game is or could be, I’d just have to point to Katamari Damacy.
They released the original two on steam so hopefully it makes it’s way to other platforms outside of switch.
I’m typing all this before even checking it I’m just too excited at the news

In the absence of anything better on the current market, I’ve invested in this:
My initial impressions are very favourable. As far as I’m concerned, it seems to have all the right notes, in all the right places.
It’s not going to win any prizes. It looks and plays like an open world adventure game from 20 years ago - but in my opinion, that’s no bad thing. I would far rather play Morrowind than Elden Ring.
Graphics are pretty basic by modern standards. English language voice acting is, shall we say, “adequate”.
It’s made by Polish developers Questline. Like their fellow Poles CD Projekt Red (Witcher series), their game is heavily influenced by the Elder Scrolls games, and their stories are a mixture of English (Arthurian) and Eastern European folklore.
So far, I think it’s a lot of fun.

This should be an easy fix once pointed out and an absolute non issue to rectify, but I’m sure it will be made into one somehow, it’s 2025, after all

Available on many platforms. I opted for mobile. Does not work well with my touch pen on Galaxy Tab S 9 so I have to use my finger.

This is exactly the news I was waiting for, I had a feeling they’d add the 50 series soon, and maybe dropping the 30/40 series down a tier.
I tried playing no mans sky through the free version a few weeks back and it worked like a charm, played it on gtx1080-ish spec/performance with very little noticeable latency.
Highly recommend (the free version) for those who have been out-teched by recent NMS updates and need a quick fix. Can link to your game accounts/libraries/cloudsaves so you can continue where you left off. (Games you own on steam etc you can play, not just limited to the Nvidia library selection)

Grrr. I was woken up by a Twitch notification at 7:30 today and angrily tried to find out how to report this stranger for making it appear as if I had enabled notifications for his (unfamiliar) channel! Apparently many others flagged him and the channel got banned within 10mins.
There’s a Minecraft YouTuber called Etho who posts only rarely (he’s got some adulting to do IRL now). He has a 10-years-old Twitch channel but never uses it. I had enabled notifications for him years ago, since, in case he ever comes online, I wouldn’t want to miss it, right?
Turns out his unused channel was hijacked and renamed (and provoked a ban) by a stranger for fun… That’s why I (and ten thousand others!) got notified…
Anyone remembers Etho’s Lab? His Minecraft-YouTube-Channel is still alive.
