And I’m taking a leap of faith. Trusting the new base I’m building won’t be floating or buried NEXT month.
Crazy ain’t it?.
When times are hard, human ingenuity always leaps to the forefront and makes the best out of a bad situation
I just finished building the 12th biodome in my new base for the farm that’s gonna get me a nice freighter in my new normal playthrough, hoping I have the 100 star bulb and solanium all growing before the possible disruption next months update might bring to the economy, the farming growtimes and of course the current altitude of my base
Calidi Frigus in the PC normal mode ECSD star chain, is now up for rent to own.** BEWARE** There is a monument on the surface of Toxicus Planeta. This is, unfortunately, where the portal is. Most all flora and fauna have been scanned and uploaded. Even after moving away and returning I could still see the other base. Mine, however, is nowhere to be seen. I thought about rebuilding there but, I found such a nice place just off the star chain, that I decided to stay. Of course, everything may change in a few weeks…(so excited and apprehensive)

Glad you found a new home.
I will keep the fond memories of Toxicus Planeta and my epic journey to visit your base.
Happy travels and intergalactic interloping.
im not in the hub. but my base is five minutes on foot. working on a circuit board farm.
its full of emril and gold. as well.
My new 9 Circuit Board Farm. VISITORS are welcome. Squatters, not so much. Look for me just off the top of the Hub Chain at The End Of The World (World Bae Finis) on Seven Sea Stars.
Just 7???
More on my freighter but, sadly, no one can visit it, yet…
Looking to do a bit of visiting tonight, would like to visit some PS4 Normal base’s as well as finally making it to the Hub.
Are any of the above still active?
Hey Osho, I literally just finished building my first farm on my new ps4 normal save, ten min walk from portal. Will send you glyphs soon, it’s literally just maxed out for circuit boards so it’s very ugly and empty besides biodomes. But if you wait the thirty mins for the starbulb and frostwort to regrow ya can leave with 25 circuit boards.
I’m out walking dog at the minute, was going to share address tonight but I’ll send it on when I get in
Brilliant, I’ll be in game from about 19:00 onwards (GMT) looking forward to visiting! You’ve got my PSN haven’t you?
Sure do, I’ll prepare the welcome mat, think I’ve a few spare points to make something nice but gave no foresight to the layout of biodomes etc.
Just did a little restructuring so theres less frost and more starbulb, you just have to wait the fifteen minutes for frost regrowth and should be enough for twenty circuit boards, not sure cos I’m still waiting on a full crop regrowth but should work
It’s just a temporary home on my new playthrough to help build bank, I’ll be using this save for when NEXT arrives as my original normal hit a few atlas rises bugs.
I’ll be moving closer to the etarc hub eventually, will edit this post when I do
For now, all our welcome to farm
Looking forward to visiting @toddumptious
10 minute walk you say? You know what? I might leave the Nomad at home and walk it. I could do with some Copper anyway.
Just imagine, in Next you’ll probably be able to pick me up from the portal and give me a lift!
What’s the house rules on scanning flora/fauna? (Was going through my discoveries the other day and noticed, ‘May have been discovered by Christianhour’ and ‘Discovered by Christianhour’)
It’s funny I usually don’t upload discoveries on my own planets so I can leave them for others.
The other day while going through discoveries to see if I forgot to upload any, I uploaded all my current homeplanets discoveries before realising what I’d done there were like twenty flora varieties I’d scanned
however I still haven’t seen ALL the Fauna so the last two or three are up for grabs.
Usually I suggest visitors name one or two planets and an animal if they like but if someone does more I’m not going to chase them about it
There might still be some fauna left out there who knows but name anything you do come across that didn’t get accidentally uploaded.
Right now my game is telling me I’ve discovered ten of ten fauna and I’ve claimed the full discovery units, however I know I haven’t yet and list shows seven creatures so servers are being funny atm, let me know if there’s 100 starbulb or 160 starbulb when you get there and should only be twenty frost and twenty cactus, then we’ll know if it’s my latest base save
I’m in the same boat…not because it’s not a fun thing to do but because with future universe resets extremely likely I don’t see much of a point in settling anywhere or clinging to any locations because they’ll be gone. I usually just hit the upload all button occasionally for the units but that’s it…I don’t name anything, or make notes of any locations.
No worries, luckily I’d already found all the fauna so it didn’t affect my uploads. I don’t normally name things but if I see something interesting then of course I will.
I shall be taking pictures so you can see tomorrow if it’s as it should be.
I still name things but usually unrelated to the planets aesthetic, the universe might change but our discoveries remain (or was there a wipe there I wasn’t aware of?).
On this playthrough however rather than rename each system and planet, I’m leaving system names as is but adding [TOdd] to the end and then just uploading planet names regularly unless they really stand out to me.
I still have the mac address thingy to my very first planet from launch day, I’m going to see if I can make it back there some day.
Does anyone know what happens when you discover old discoveries from an old playthrough? Do they show up as red discoveries or as your own I wonder?
I’ll be visiting my current survival home soon when I make it to the etarc star chain on this playthrough so I’ll know soon enough
My base too is packed up and I’m embracing the nomadic-freighter living lifestyle.
I still have a base on my watery world but it’s literally just the starter unit. I’m staying here for two reasons:
- In case of a galaxy reset, I want to see how the biome changes. ( I captured some striking comparison pictures following the Atlas Rises reset.)
- If exploring oceans becomes a thing, I’m ready to go.
If none of those pan out, I can move just as easily and set up shop again somewhere else.
I’m still using the long standing ECSD suffix when uploading a system but everything else except the occasional planet gets the generic name.
Might start using a new suffix after NEXT.
We’ll see… I’ll have to think up something new.
I’ve left my rather basic base near the Etarc Hub intact so I can check out what happens to it if there is another major universal reset.
You think this could be the last universe reset? My guess is HG will tell us when they will have dropped the last universe reset, maybe in the NEXT full reveal.
