It’s also apparent that the official update names often bear little, or only tangential, connection to the actual content delivered. So, for instance, “Beacon” was largely an update to the appearance of settlement buildings. It’s hard to see any connection with “Beacon” at all.

HG do take some license in their ‘creative’ naming methods. I have long enjoyed the cryptic emoji hint & I also don’t mind that the updates & expeditions sometimes need a five minute tea break to mull over & decypher how they came up with the name this time.
It’s actually one of the great things about HG: That they DON’T do the normal, expected thing.

I’m not complaining. I’m pointing out that even if we could decipher the meaning of the wavy hand, it wouldn’t necessarily give any real clue as to the nature of the update.

Call it an (informed) hunch, but I believe we’ll get an expedition (alongside whatever else 
may contain) starting ~ 3pm HG time on the 27th, with likely an optional milestone Community Mission 
Edit: Well damn! Looks like HG are reading! The one time I give it away and HG seem to push the exped back by about a week. I haven’t seen this happen before, but I guess I should keep track in case it changes again. I guess this is a good sign that the update isn’t just an expedition though (unless they delay the whole update by a week 
)
