I think it’s a tongue-in-cheek joke about how the emoji could be considered as representing Hello Games, so the satisfactory Devs (Coffee Stain Studios) replied with an emoji that represents them
Remember how they found that mini ship fighter that looked just like a Nintendo Switch controller? Surely they can find some vehicle seeds for a quick Satisfactory co-op…

-Signal waves: New story update once again involving mysterious transmissions, noise in the ether, etc
-Water waves: Another water update (very unlikely since we got one recently)
-Violent waves: Combat update featuring waves of enemies and/or new wave emitting weapon technology.
