It very likely works same as all other weapons, with slots etc, just appears as a stick instead of gun.

Hmm. I looked at the art again… The space station is not smoking. That’s an item of orange-red foreground vegetation hanging down and into the area of a Venator freighter in front of the station.

SORRY Off topic for a second…but have you ever tried explaining something to someone something that seems obvious enough that you figure once its pointed out it will be a dah moment and they will correct it…but instead double down and site something dumb as proof that supports their original thinking…
only for you to to give them direct, undeniable proof they are wrong, to the point you are almost taking it to far, and nearing the point of questioning their vary intelligence because deep down you just know they will half read what you presented , go into full denial and continue to deny the truth.
And because your behind a computer likely in a completely different part of the world there is nothing you can do but you wish you could grab them and throttle them until their brain turns on lol
And worse you know its a trivial thing…but you cant seem to let it go lol

Hopefully and hour after I wake up, start my work day…get organized enough I can step away, and peak under hood…So in reality…likely before I wake up 10-11am UK (6am here) or worse 4pm UK…and smack in the middle of my day lol

Possibly. I may be completely wrong. My thought is based on the lore in the wiki which says the Atlas was abandoned because it was too big to move. So we encounter the Atlas stations which house an Atlas comms station, not really the Atlas itself. We have never actually seen the Atlas.
Of course, having said all that, it could be that something will happen to the Atlas stations…
