Here’s a thing. When Beachhead ended, I carried on playing the same game. I’m still playing the same game. I now find that all the stuff I added to my freighter during Beachhead has disaappeared. Where there was a long corridor filled with tech rooms, now there’s just a wall.
It’s not really a big deal for me -I don’t use the freighter much - but I do feel a bit cheated.

Sometimes this happens when Matrix changes its code

I had some issues with the freighters buildable parts not showing at all. And when they did appear, I could leave my freighter and then return and the rooms had moved around. 
I chose not to build anything other than what was required for the expedition.
