I really prefer the in-game critter’s look to that in the Discovery display. The smooth appearance is nice and it’s dorsal appendage adds a wow factor.

Still looking for an inhospitable planet of 80% and I have been searching around rendezvous 5 for the last day and a bit. If I fail to find one today I may just cave and peek this handy guide

I’m remembering when Origins came out there was a complete change up to the creatures on a planet and former denizens would show up as “extinct”.
Did I find an old planet or can this also occur due to a bug? This was the planet with the sandworm that got stuck, and I was able to scan the sandworm when it became a solid entity and was denied re-entry to the dirt, so I’m thinking this might be why this entry is here '
edit: I caved and used the cheat sheet to find an unwelcoming planet.

This expedition is a bit too tedious for me. I mean, I love searching for all the fauna on a planet but being forced to do that on each planet along the way is a bit much…

I just ignored any that were in a cave. They can feck on altogether. Did the fishies because I knew the large carnivarient would eventually get me the creature hostility milestone. After that I just stuck to land and sky amimuls.
Got lucky with the PH one, followed a comm ball to see what it had to say for itself and said “wait here for PH”. Hot Blooded fella bore out of the ground not too long after that leaving streaks of heat trailing behind it.
Now if only I could find a planet that wants to murder me adequately, I could move on and slap that new Expedition badge on my freighter wall.
I’m personally enjoying this one, normally I race through the expeditions and have them done within 2 hours or 8 (depending on the expedition).
This one feels more like, “hey remember what NMS was like in 2016? Go do that, and just that.” and I’m happy to, and I’m in no rush either 
(mostly because I know how infurating it can be if you spend too long searching and cant find that last guy on a planet.)

I get this was mean to be about Exploration of the world…Almost like the wants everyone take a long hard look a the Universe…

The plethora of bugs still to be squashed seem higher than past expeditions.

I’ve had trouble getting motorvated to do more than an hour at a time.
I think I got a bit burnt out powering through basic missions to get to the new update stuff on my other saves so that now that trying to get excited about an endless scanning & hunting expedition just isn’t happening.
Admittedly, I have been a bit distracted IRL of late so that isn’t helping either.
