I doubt it…I mean sure if you behave like an ass-hat cussing others out and so on you’ll get banned…that’s the norm and expected, nobody would write an over-glorified story for that and it’s not dark…not really…it’s just common decency really. Tariq was part of WARE and servers tampered with by WARE were taken offline…chances are those were the servers his mind was plugged into…after his big speech about Emily not being in control. IF Tariq shows up in the game at all it will be as some sort of story related NPC…but I don’t think we’ll be seeing any more of him ever again. I don’t think we’ll hear of any of these dreamers again except for #231187661T whose only name is literally after a log in the game, and the only one who doesn’t have a face at all but a suit helmet, and whose actual identity will likely be an NPC relevant to the game like Telamon or some such.
That’s why I said “meta”… There will be more “Tariqs”, and they are going to behave like total ass-hats.

Reiterating on what I hoped for was actually something I might be clinging to too much but, if you’ve ever played Mass Effect 2 you can launch probes for resources from your ship to a planet. Maybe this could be a remote launch operation from the freighters and picks up idle type search. Like if you select a crew or a drone or something, you can remote send it to another system and it’ll idle fill and search out the system. It sounds also like a idle story for that search like in the Fallout Shelter mobile game, if you send out a dweller they have a story of sorts that displays things happening as they go farther out. Hoping this is like that. Could also be a post multiplayer cleanup. I seen on xbox its coop 2-4 and multiplayer 2-4. If its a after battle report it could be either of those?
But a report after which battle? And between who? We know the Korvax are involved somehow. So why would they fight?
Everyone fought the sentinels
The Korvax revere the Sentinels.
In the lore, Korvax didn’t fight sentinels. But, the Vy’Keen fought the sentinels and the Gek swooped in when the Vy’Keen were vulnerable. They used the Korvax as slaves basically and when they came to Atlas, something seemed to provide a revelation and now they are more peaceful awaiting the Travelers like everyone else.
At least, from what I remember.
The audio hints at a ‘Korvax industrial mission’. Perhaps it went wrong and a salvage crew were dispatched to check things out. I don’t think the audio mentions a ‘battle’ directly. The unclear speech at that point seems to suggest ‘Abandoned Building’ That would fit into maybe a mission a player might collect from the Space Station NPC to investigate.
Yes, the Korvax revere the Atlas and the sentinels, however they were enslaved by the first spawn and there is lore speaking of the Korvax technology being used against the sentinels.

It sounds like a “post-adventure” captain log. Likely multiplayer, unlikely multi-crew… And as hype-killer I would add those could be all procedural “space-station” “race-centered” missions exactly like the ones we have… Maybe more combat-centered, that can be taken on as a “party” each with their own freighter/capital ship, with npc crew, and that we can likely “entangle-jump-drives” to travel “in formation”, together.
NPC crews? You are decidedly not succeeding at killing my hype!
