Not sure if this was the guy I was looking for, a few people have done this, but it could undock and move down the coast, also had wildlife. If this isn’t that guy it’s close enough.

I’ve been thinking. The new build mode camera that’s been uncovered, it seems like it was made with the purpose of these ship bases in mind.
I can see them being paired together as a release. It could be a update focused on building/customization

Looks to be using the DebugScene tools in the exe, at least partially, so probably not something meant for player use anyway. There’s also no examples for many of the action IDs in any MBINs so it’d take a fair bit of guessing to see if something works.
We DID get the GcDebugEditor Global file in Aquarius iirc, but I’m not convinced that HG are gonna give us access to these tools…

Oh I never suspected it was tools for us. More I was curious if there were any ties to anything indicating what Hello Games might use it for. Since nothing in game has used cut scene related files before. Especially being added as a new folder in simulation.
Maybe nothing, never know.

A few folk have referred to the appearance of purple stars in the Stellar Multitudes quest line, as sort of the games first cut scene.
So they might be experimenting with this sort of approach to narrative, no doubt they have some sort of cut scene system in place for their next game so it could be more stuff brought back from the future.
Light no Fire feels like a world that would benefit from some cut scenes when meeting choice NPCs or meeting some sort of regional king or kingdom etc.
Plus they’ll need some sort of cut scene functionality for the inevitable day all the NPC Travelers have to go save the Sim and slow walk towards the camera in a staggered row to some industrial action music soundtrack. Cos 2000s nostalgia.

The simulation folder and some UI file paths are what’re putting me off from just chalking it up as just another dev tool since they’re historically very good at removing dev tool references. Guess we’ll see later this year.

there were some strings updated for Titan Expedition. Updated link above, but nothing exciting in there.
SeaGlass was added as a trackable stat
Some Decal changes to prevent color change
Placement fixes for Nautilus new dock
Some more Ship Customize stuff changed (SHIP_SAIL , Metal Bolt etc)
Unlockable added new Freighter drive (Purple), ** Yup, added to Freighter Unlock Screen
Nothing that jumped out as exciting for sure.
