Looking at those strings now that I’m done with expedition. It’s 5 am though so I’m gonna stop and report the two things I noticed.
Nexus fishing missions.
A lot of stuff about cross save cloud manager, with options to add and remove saves from storage and warnings of duplicates of the same save etc…
I was only thinking with all this talk of the boundaries and walls breaking again it would be nice if they meant cross save.
Looks like it could be, just in time for PS5 pro to turn back on the PS4 save transfer

Theres mention of Expedition 2 returning in the new strings for Cursed 
I’m not sure but it mentions a milestone called Away Team which doesnt seem to be mentioned in the original runs milestones (though names dont always reflect, have not compared with the actual lang files for original beachhead)

What will be interesting is if they will change save format to secure them. Encryption etc.
5 saves, I am good with that.
BETA for limited people…I Guess I can understand this…could be pretty broken at first.

Unused Entity Data files for separate, regular, non-spectral squids. No accompanying models available yet. Boundary Horror (Land) Squid data for comparison.

Looks like the Cross Saves feature will launch in an open beta initially? Wonder when HG are planning to launch this, given just how much info they’ve added regarding it.

I’m very eager to be a participant as I’m on multiple platforms and a prime candidate…
But as a holder of a day one legacy save and 2000+ hours put in on PC and Console EACH…
I’m a bit anxious about using my saves for an experiment
Obviously I can just use new saves but I’m still worried of losing the lot somehow…
Anyone else experiencing this dilemma while thinking about the Beta?

NMS has made me immune to such fears. But I would definitely start a new game. Just in case…and I would love to join.

since it will allow local copies, I am hoping local backup will keep me sane if I am able to test. I have owned, never used an xbox physical copy…so I bought a digital one today to keep it in the shinny package lol. But will 100% love to give it a go. Hell might give me a reason to buy Ps5 or Nintendo switch version now also.

I have one of everything but have never bought an XBox copy of NMS. I don’t play the Switch version very often. PS5 and Steam Deck I play once in a while. Steam PC is still my favorite though NMS on PS5 has a very shiny and crisp look and feel. I almost enjoy it more than PC but PC shows the dirty details like scuffs and scratches and has an aged and well used feel to it.
I could play test on any or all of them.

meh, I used mine to play “copies” of zelda games …as I was not a fan of the price / art style.
really wasn’t a fan. 2nd was better than first.
Haven’t turned it on in over a year now lol…though with cross may consider…but Steam Deck would be better…so dunno…might look down that rabbit hole.
