Clouds no longer reflecting in water on PS5 + Misc glitches

The clouds have disappeared from water reflections on PS5, not sure when it happened but it’s making my screenshots very sad. I loved those pesky cloud reflections cos they weren’t SSR.

Also the frigates were no longer blocky low level meshes in the sky for a while after corvette update which was nice but they’re back to being very low lod in the sky again. The freighter and frigates also take a long time to render in when summoned now and sometimes blink in and out of existence on approach.

POI’s are also taking a very long time to load in, more regularly than usual. Something funnies definitely happening in the graphical pipeline by one of the more recent patches.

The creature deaths remain in an instant state of velocity spikes but now you can see them bounce around a little more clearly before becoming a bright twinkle in the sky. I actually had two bouncing up and down infinitely inside a cave recently.

On PC too. I think it started with the Breach update. It’s been frustrating because I’d been playing around with some small water shader tweaks again - specifically stuff related to clouds, and now I can’t really work on them properly.

I feel a little less jilted now I know the PC master race are also being denied pretty cloud reflections.

I thought maybe they turned it off in favour of performance optimisation in the meantime for just the PS5. If it’s not a glitch along the render pipeline somewhere it may be they just have it off across the board until they get corvette performance balanced and optimal.

Hopefully not one of this bugs that Martin spends months on and off chasing :hugs:

Screens shared on X show no cloud reflections either. Must be across the board
