To anyone who has the limited edition, it sounds like what happened in the comic Cargo can actually happen in the game now, because if I saw correctly you can now find random NPCs on planets, probably next to crashed ships I bet, or maybe monoliths.

Had one of these myself…
Korvax who was a bit unsure of his situation.
I fixed his ship for him & off he flew, leaving me with no ship to scavenge.

Basically yeah. Although they crashed and walked to a monolith. (The big walls with text that existed pre day one patch).

I had a funny encounter too. I landed at a crash site to see a NPC sitting down, tapping away on his tablet. Totally unconcerned.
I waved. He waved back lol
Then we chatted about about our situation and he decided to fix my ship!
I wonder if he’s still alive after I fired my Saturn V hyperspace warp engines and flew off, leaving him to tap away on his charred brick…
I hope so. He was a helpful chap.
