Im playing on PS5. I have been getting this for a few updates now. When uploading a base, bytebeat data doesnt seem to be uploading. So when my bases get visited bytebeat is either dead altogether or going absolutely mental with random noises, but never the same twice.
Also seems to be the case with the wonders modules not uploading with bases.
Edit: forgot about message modules within bases, these make the pinging noise when in proximity but theres no messages anymore.
This has been around for a while now. For some reason part of the data that contains the āMessageā is either bugged or not being networked at all anymore. With Bytebeat devices this results in just some random state. We need more reports in hopes they fix it with a future update.
My bytebeat is broken as well. They all play The same thing instead of in harmony. I went back to a random old base - it was called the āEaster Bunny is watching your eggsā (with an easterbunny built out of glitches) and it was on planet āSputnikās and Chill.ā Iām sure it made sense at that time!
I recall, there was some update around Easter that data miners told us would involve eggs, and the target planet coords were revealed too early, so a few of us went to a neighbouring system and named everything very conspicuously to attract HGās attentionā¦?
In any case, my beautiful doo-doo-doo dee-dee-dee music is gone
If you have an old backup by any chance, it might be possible to restore the music. The data is stored with the object together with all the other objects in your base.
Yeah I checked a couple of bases Id not updated in a whle and the bytebeat boxes and message modules are still ok on those . Most of my bases are evolutions though and i update them every time something new drops.
Since i changed to ps5 theres no facility to save a usb backup anymore, so i have only the system save now.
The bases I used the bytebeat on were maily for light controls this one was last updated in June and is still ok.
