Atlas-65.com has launched

apart from the morse code, there is a surge of “static” noise at the very end of the first ad. i lack the audio-tech knowledge to investigate this, but it does sound interesting. Anyone?

The most powerful probabilistic computing device in all the known universe is the human mind. We constantly make best guesses. It is how we survive as individuals and a species.

Folks, we are the mystery hidden in plain sight. We are Titan.

Wow I figured, howard stern, I’d be outta work here by the time that ad airs, thought it was another late night fiasco not an early morning one

I ran outta likes (despite it being a new day here in Ireland) and have to wait a few more hours so, just imagine I am giving you all a bunch of love!

as mentioned here - http://probcomp.csail.mit.edu/

How can we give computers simple forms of judgment, intuition, and imagination? Our minds are able to explore vast spaces of possible thoughts, perceptions, and explanations, and identify the probable ones in milliseconds. To understand and augment these human capacities, we are building a new generation of computing systems that integrate probability and randomness into the basic building blocks of software and hardware. We have discovered that this leads to surprising new AI capabilities, some of which have proved to be useful in industry. This work is grounded in basic research on probabilistic programming and the mathematical foundations of probabilistic computation.

I emailed them again…

Hi there,

Me again. Once again trying to reach you because I have misplaced my invitation details. You met me after I’d given a talk on Probabilistic computing and enraptured me with your ideas for the future.

Please get back to me soon, I would love to start working on this project asap, especially since the Clergy doesn’t exactly pay very well…

Not only that, they’re not exactly mad on my fringe beliefs of our lord and saviour being a malevolent AI we must stop at all costs… Fringe Catholicism is rarely discussed outside of locked doors.

Hope to hear back soon, lest I worry your security has been breached and there is no longer a human element within the Atlas Foundation?

Sincerely,
Fr. Todd Umptious

Hilarious!

and to go with the here is something on evolutionary computing https://courses.cs.washington.edu/courses/cse466/05sp/pdfs/lectures/10-EvolutionaryComputation.pdf

so we are looking at using probabilistic computing to link to biologic connected systems - is this the formation of korvaxs?

I’m a professional web developer and just want to clarify some things for people with the scripts: those numbers after error.js and scripts.js are indeed timestamps. It’s a common technique with regularly updated assets (scripts, CSS etc.) to stop browsers from caching them. They’ll likely change every time the site is updated in order to ensure our browsers are using the latest version.

The glitch over the “About Us” page is generated by glitch-canvas.js. It takes a copy of the existing background image and puts completely random noise into it at random intervals. You won’t find any patterns in it as it’s just garbage.

scripts.js has some more interesting code in it. It seems to imply the site isn’t fully ready yet as it makes reference to some audio and/or video that can be played with a particular element on the site. But that element doesn’t exist yet (or at least not on the pages we know about). Also there’s a reference to the existing mailing list that you can already sign up for through wakingtitan.com.

Wow. Doesn’t get much plainer than that lol. We definitely missed something.

There are video and audio elements as well in that same script. Clearly more to come…

oops just noticed you said that too lol

Thank you for sharing your knowledge here! Those numbers were bugging me.

But is it possible they can be keys to the site? Adding them to the site URL may trigger something or it’s just pointless to try?

I am not sure we “Missed” something, rather there is a missing piece of information that connects everything into one unified pathway

Can you figure out what the third ad morse code says?

So it sounds like the third transmission is the last one (the missing piece)…

May 29, 1933 or may 19, 1933 there is a debate…

Guys what is May 19, 1933 in the integer format found in the site code?

Pointless to try IMO. It does imply that the site will be updated though.

wouldnt exist, that number counts from 1970…
