The Normandy model was intended to coincide with the launch of Mass Effect Legendary Edition. In the event, the timing was a little off, but it was great publicity for both companies.
I wonder whether the delay to the next update is because they have another tie-in, which was supposed to have been released by now, but hasn’t? So HG can’t show their update yet, because it would steal the other developer’s thunder? Are they waiting for something else to release?
Why not?
Death Stranding was a post-apocalyptic Walking Delivery Boy Simulator
& Mudrunner was a Tediously Stuck In The Mud Simulator.
Both of them were Crap Working Conditions Simulators.
For the record, Death Stranding made a “walking simulator” genre actually good. (Although its not actually a true walking simulator, more of a hiking-survival-horror game) so this lawnmower game might actually be good. im willing to try it.(edit: jk, i hate mowing the lawn. Allergies, man. Ill probably placebo sneeze just looking at it. Lol.)
Also, isnt there supposed to be a Sony State of Play event this week? I wouldnt doubt that they would showcase the update there. Much more publicity.
I thought the same about Train Simulator. Bought it years ago as a joke in the winter sales, but found it kinda relaxing late at night.
Occasionally you get to move a lever to slow down or speed up. Wow. The challenge is keeping awake long enough to not tear through a red light and remembering to stop at stations.
Lawn mowing appears exciting in comparison. Actually, It seems the worst combination of busy-work and utter tedium.
Imagine the joy of having to mow an entire planet in NMS.
That’s what I’m thinking. “On the one hand, it’s sort of just another update. On the other, it’s a missing piece of the sci-fi fantasy that we’ve always wanted to add.”
This… means something. I feel like I should be making shapes in my mashed potatoes.
CaptainSteve on Youtube pointed out something I had forgotten about. The terminal at the space stations is reminiscent to a decoration in the anomaly that shows “data” on the landing pads. But the landing pads at the station are less than what the terminal shows. This could imply that it was put in place ahead of time as a future update might make the space station larger to accommodate more landing pads, perhaps 12. But why would you even need more landing pads? Well, perhaps because multiplayer might be getting improvements.
Ofcourse, just a theory but one that actually seems likely as it looks like this has been the game’s direction lately. Bringing players together.
Edit: Im placing my imaginary bet on this one. Of all the speculation, theories and leaks, I believe this feature is the most likely to happen soon, if not on the anniversary update.
My discovery server glitch cleared up yesterday, on that basis I say update is tomorrow…
The above statement if correct would mean that I would end my 100% record of being 0% correct when predicting update dates.
