It has only just occurred to me - the Atlas is represented by the colour red. The Atlantid / Void Mother is represented by violet.
Red is the last visible colour before the spectrum disappears into invisible infra-red. Violet is the last visible colour before the spectrum disappears into invisible ultra-violet.
The two opposing forces are represented by opposite ends of the spectrum.
I got an Atlas tattoo on my right wrist before the game came out. Like a whole year before it came out. I’m not a gambling man but I know a sure thing when I see it. You announce the game I’ve wanted my whole life since reading my first proper pulp fiction and reignite my passion for gaming tech, I’ll get a tattoo. It’s pretty simple
I will probably have to get an Atlantid/Void tattoo on my left wrist now… The opposite of before the game comes out is after the game is finished?
So never. I dont think the rules allow me to ever get that follow up tattoo. But Atlantid is a rule breaker…
I have been meaning to add something to the Atlas tattoo, for many years. Generally some sorta wraparound nebulae and a ship with a star trail, maybe have an atlantid lifeboat peaking out through the nebulous cloud.
I’m so curious about what design HG might have in mind for the Void Mother. I fear that all this build up might make it disappointing, not because of their design choice, but everyone having different interpretations. I just hope they don’t reuse the Lifeboat as an “Atlantid Interface” again
I’ve been going over the older parts of the Void Mother arc recently, and came across this reference to “manifesting” matter (almost the exact same wording as In Stellar Multitudes), which reminded me how long this arc’s been going on and that HG’s probably had this planned for a long time. A lot of the product icons for In Stellar Multitudes have .2024. appended to them, which makes me wonder if Worlds as a whole was supposed to be the finale, leading in from the “big” 2023 update Echoes before whatever delay they faced made them push split the update into two.
I’m guessing we’re now waiting for that final stretch of her rebirth, and not being alone. The last line feels like a parallel to one of the Rogue Data entries that claims that the Atlas is no longer alone at the end of its days. Maybe the big Multitudes text at the end of the new quest is another hint at this? Already taking that as an update name prediction
Well right now her form is a few trillion stars and planets. Which isn’t exactly ideal for putting on tshirts or mugs
I’m still certain new POI’s are a given and I think these new POI’s may tie in further to her being able to manifest and communicate in a more direct form.
With all we know of her as Korvax-Prime, she was essentially a planet sized construct that was home to the Korvax, and her consciousness spread as far as the Korvax themselves, they were one.
So I guess being a bunch of star systems and planets feels right to them. But she also seemed to have nodes or direct forms of contact, most likely through constructs that represented her form (for those of great importance) and then through any means by which the korvax could communicate, for everything else.
So I can see their appearance being the next step or two in the arc. At least, that’s what I would hope for but I don’t think I’ve ever predicted these guys accurately once XD
I think its safe to say we’ve left any notion of a “story arc” behind and gone into Tele(mon)novela territory.
I was checking out the new Cronus interactions and realised he has an approval percentage if you donate food to the market. I tinkered around with it the last two days, even managed to fulfil demand for a few of the items.
I have only gotten their approval to 11% and haven’t noticed much change. Still getting the same amount of nanites for donations to food market dependant on demand (the items reward more nanites the further down the list they are). I did not try impress him with food so maybe it effects the rewards for his food ranking payouts?
I decided to check if there were maybe new titles tied to this percentage, similar to how fishing has new titles.
I decided to tick off the titles in the NMS app to see what ones I was missing and while there are no new cooking related titles I could see, I noticed theres quite a few listed as “community effort” titles but they’re not ones purchased via QS. I’m wondering does anyone know the unlock requirements for these?

I can’t seem to find any info and NMS app lists them as “community effort” similar to the other ones purchased from QS store.
Future titles or maybe reject titles if i nthe game at all?
Mrs Mad Hatter’s Legacy Save glitched to unplayable again.
Very similar to my own non-legacy save that bugged just after worlds 2 dropped.
On ground near water, on a moon in a purple titan system.
Black screen with HUD only.
After a lot of jet packing & moving about I was able to call her ship to land nearby, (eventually). No icon but I managed to get in & launch…& then get to her freighter…all in black screen.
Upon landing, the entire interior of the freighter was a hazy greyscale, exactly like I’d experienced.
Moving about the command ship was spooky with only grey mist; No light sources, colour or animations.
Was like being on the ‘other side’
Was able to interact with teleporter & get to a non-purple system base.
Problem continued. Everything outside of base was invisible, inside was grey spooky-vision.
Called in freighter & teleported there & logged off.
It was around this point my own save had seriously glitched & was unplayable.
No I haven’t. I’ve been really busy lately & not even gaming at all.
I just so happened to be working in my home office when a very upset Mrs Mads called for help.
I don’t even remember how to ZenDesk to HG anymore. I haven’t done it since shifting to PS5 a few years ago…
I used my non-synced online save file to fix mine last time this happened.
I figured with such a huge number of players these days surely someone else has experienced this too. It’s the same bug that plagued the first days of Worlds 2.
A bit of a hunt online showed others have experienced this glitch/bug too so I’m hoping it is adressed with a patch or something.
Most others get the black HUD screen however a couple saw the greyed out bases too.
I have been having this issue now and then with PS5 in recent weeks. Screen will go black on loading in, or midway through a play session and stay that way. I can bring up menus if I recall last time I tried.
Quitting to main menu and loading up any save, does not fix this. The black screen persists in gameplay, no matter how many times you close the session and return to the games main menu, the only way to get it to go away is to close the game entirely and then all saves should load correctly
Not sure if this is same issue you faced here but it seems like it if not adjacent to it.
Seems like a rendering issue, something is being blown up and taking up the whole screen and staying locked that way even after exiting the play session. Which is why UI still works and probably why you eventually got to see some stuff through a smoke screen, its possible the atmospherics were bleeding through whatever is rendering and blocking our view.
They got rid of the “continue progress” feature on PS5 a few updates ago.
Basically, your last played game, even if booting console up from being powered down, will skip the splash/menu screens and instantly load up your last save state and throw you straight back in. It was hidden below the Run Game button, sometimes as decorative cards advertising your current goal.
They still appear they just don’t function as they did originally.
I guess it took a hell of a lot of memory/power trickery to pull that off and probably had to go for stability/lifespan reasons.
Jumping straight back in from a sleep state is more than enough, but it was a fun trick while it lasted. I do tend to avoid sleep mode on console though so I dont get to experience instantly jumping back in all that often, which is why I was very fond of that instant resume even after powering down feature (I’m sure it had a name or buzz word of some kind but I’ll inevitably use the wrong one anyway)
I got to experience it with FF7 rebirth and last of us 2 re release so I was happy. I thought I was doing something wrong while trying the same trick with horizon 2 during the Christmas. Then thought maybe only some games can pull it off. After googling it I came to learn the feature was removed with little to no word from Sony.
My photo mode goes mostly black. Currently I’m disabling HUD, using F12 for the Steam screenshot, then re-enabling the HUD. It’s annoying!
Of course, with my old graphics card, the result is more of a rough simulation of what I’d get with a better card. Sort of a simulation of a simulation. (Snicker … Couldn’t resist).
I’ve noticed during the last two expeditions that when extracting Buried Technology Modules it reports Salvaged Data x 1 even when more were recovered.
