Was playing solo, perhaps it’s a size restriction, I only tried it on a very big creature and a very small creature that happened to be hanging out at the time will experiment and let you know how I get on
Hey No Man’s Sky fans! I want to start this post off by apologizing to the mods because I was trying to find the correct thread to post to but since I am on mobile I was having some confusion (as usual!!). Also, I want to formally apologize to you hard core fans out there who may be reading this blog post and wondering why I am trying to be a ‘kill-joy’ on these forums. I usually save my most positive and best edited videos for this ETARC forum as I know this is where the real NMS fans are and I try to keep it rant free here BUT this video is different!
In this video posted I lost my favorite ship due to a change brought by Hello Games. It is all explained in this video. I hope that posting this video here may show HG how certain players feel when they go through the trials and errors alongside the game developers.
If any on you follow my YouTube channel you know that NMS and I have been in an on again off again type relationship and I finally had to cut them loose.
If anyone does watch this video I really hope it brings you a laugh Thaks for reading!
Hello Games changed the ship exchange to prevent exploits. You put your beloved ship at risk by selling it instead of using the ship you actually wanted to exchange. You could have made a manual save to prevent any mishaps. Your manual save would actually still get you your ship back, unless you did not own it on the quite old manual save that showed. So let that be a lesson to save manually often to prevent disappointment. I personally don’t feel you can blame the game for this happening, sorry to say, just being honest.
Much love @HelpyaCollectionYT
Thanks for your reply Dev!! All
Do you still have that manual save that shows on the reload screen? If so your pretty ship should still be there, if that is more important to you than the times lost.
It’s been a helpful recovery strategy for me many times.
Good luck! And let us know if it works or not?
Time heals all wounds Sorry for your digital loss, plenty more ships in the sim. Plenty other games to play too. You humble us by calling us the true NMS community but the sentiment is appreciated :3 We won’t take offence to you leaving it behind, we’re an understanding bunch. If some day you do return, I hope you find another ship that catches your fancy. Happy gaming Traveller
My Dragon Ball’s Sky video made it to Kotaku,
Then it was noticed by IGN today!
Have you been in the colossus yet in VR? Genuinely feels like sitting in a HGV
Not yet, I’ll probably make a video for every vehicle
One thing I find amusing is how the vehicles are not road safe at all. No side or rear view mirrors how does one reverse the colossus without commiting mass murder and vegicide every time?
I really hope we get 1st person view outside of VR for all of the vehicles available. Would love to give my loopings/loops a try from a proper perspective. Considering I do not have VR, I am unable to try this myself. Maybe once I have made that Stunt Racer base public, someone with VR on PC will be able to give it a try and report back.
Oh I did not know there was no exocraft cockpit view for regular play. I’m sure it’s something they’ll add if we stomp our feet loud enough. Would love to try your track in VR, I’m told there’s a way to use the PSVR headset via trickery on a pc but as far as I know my GPU does not support VR.
Back in the 1970s, I used to drive one of these:
It was officially a Chubb Pathfinder airport crash tender. But hey, it’s a Colossus. Merseyside Fire Brigade had one at Liverpool Airport. Then the government privatised airport fire services, and I didn’t get to play with it any more.
Chubb did a promotional video for its little brother, an earlier model, called the Protector, but almost exactly the same thing:
Not sure why but they make me think of Fahrenheit 451 (1966) movie.
