Yes, but the quest supposedly introduces them again. They are present on the world you travel to through the portal.
After that, you’re supposed to find more in the universe. But I can’t.
Apart from this quest, I haven’t seen a boundary failure ring structure since NEXT launched. If they remain that rare, then the quest is pretty much impossible to complete (you have to find 6 planets with boundary failures).
So, either I’m doing something wrong, or the quest is bugged, or it’s mind-blowingly difficult.
You only need to find 6 boundary failures, not 6 planets. So, easiest to just go back to the same planet and find the rest. Many have already been marked by other players. You should get 600 quicksilver for each submitted, though I sent them in two groups of 3 so I don’t know if it gyps you again for turning them all in at once.
Is it just me or did this exotic planet seem more abundant in those light beams and rocks than they normally do? I’m wondering if this would account for how common boundary breaks are on this planet? Perhaps HG went in and tweaked the multiplier for how often stuff should be rendered on this planet so to make it easier to this event once through the portal.
Or am I imagining things and this version of exotic planets are always this cluttered? I never had such an issue with flying around these planets before but I kept getting caught and stuck and hitting stuff and that’s what made me notice. Maybe it’s all in m’head.
I was waiting for “shields down” to sound. I only found 1 of 6, then my game froze landing at 2 of 6. That was enough of crashing about the lights for me. I bought the trees can’t wait to plant some. great idea HG I didn’t except that.
It’s unlikely they have this kind of capability, and even if, they’d have to hard-code the override in order to hide the information from data miners. Which would be the worrying kind of messy. They probably just sent a few “probes” through the procgen algorithms to look for systems with certain criteria.
Not sure where to put this so I put it here. Say, weren’t we suppose to get our community events on Thursdays? I didn’t have any updates or downloads since last week.
