Apparently the giant lit up X on the building, strobes all night long. With many apartments right across the street, people are very upset.
Hmmm…so I woke up and scolled thru X…for the first time ever, the For You section had porn in it… So now I only scroll under the Following tab.
Huh… How does age verification work on twitter? They accidentally push that into the feed of a minor, and they’ll be in some real trouble
I have no idea but I am not happy. Thankfully I can still block people
I was banned from twitter right after I reported 179 "Adult (very graphic) accounts that were sharing in the act videos. I will never go back to that cesspool. A friend check and none of the accounts were removed. Only me.
Yeah. I understand. The whole site changes by the day. It seems like the Following and For You tabs switch places. And the things it chooses for me are completely unrelated to things I look at.
I am watching all major social media spiral out of control. Sadly, hate filled people are much louder than the rest of us.
So… Elons definition of free speech is now “whatever makes me the most money back after I wasted a lot of it on stupid management decisions”?
It’s time to get out the mason jars and a shovel
He’s going to run into some pretty big regulatory issues…
He’ll run into a lot more than that. Like, it’s one thing if he wanted to establish a payment system backed by regular bank accounts, like paypal. But… not needing a bank account? That would mean your money is at twitter. They’d need to become an actual bank (at which point you’d still have a bank account). While that wouldn’t be entirely impossible inside a year either, it seems unwise to merge a banking business (an institution living mostly on trust) and a social media platform (making a good deal of its income off of people not trusting each other) under the same roof.
That aside, Twitter didn’t enjoy the best trust among the populace lately. Sometimes I do wonder if Elon really realises how economy works. You might get the code for all this working in a year (if you spend considerable resources, which arguably twitter might currently spend more smartly in other places), but that doesn’t mean that the business will work…
Yeah. Last thing on earth I want to do. Hand my money to a greedy billionaire for safe-keeping on one of the most insecure apps available…
Very rarely I used it to post a screenshot onto Twitter. Now the only ways to get a screenshot off my PS5 will be either a USB or make a Youtube video and screenshot it.
