So Apple’s built-in security protection is alerting me that my atlas-65.com password has appeared in a data leak. I figured I should let everyone know as they may also be affected.
I need some additional help though: The only option I see to change my password is to send a password reset email. I’ve done this several times this past week but haven’t received anything. My account email is my main valid one, and nothing appears to be getting lost in spam folders. Is anyone here able to help me out?
Hey Argh, I just tested this by going to http s://forums.atlas-65.com/u/YOURUSERNAMEHERE/preferences/security and requesting the reset email. Showed up almost immediately.
I noticed there is an option in the user preferences tabs that allow you to add or change an email, maybe try changing or adding and then resending? All I can really think of right now. Hope this helps in some way.
Sorr y to hear you may have had a compromised password through this forum and thank you for alerting us all to the possible breach <3
@Argh
I’ve flagged your post & chosen the ‘something else’ option & said you need assistance. Hopefully a higher up will see this & respond.
I think it will require the same action from a few users to really get noticed.
I took @toddumptious’ suggestion about adding another email address (I also temporarily enabled all the email notification settings “just-in-case”, though I’d previously tried that already with no success). I received the add-email confirmation on the new address, and then the original week-old request also now suddenly appeared in my main email spam box! That request was no longer valid when clicked, but from the resulting dialog I was finally able to get a working reset email. So happily my issue seems resolved for now, thanks for the help! (crazy how that seemed to get “stuck” for a week). Hopefully this apparent data leak wont cause too many headaches for everyone else!
I noticed the entire forum was down for me a few nights ago. Something happened but no idea what. Thanks for the heads up. @DevilinPixy should be able to get a response as well.
And when did we get this?
Yeah, I only just noticed that feature myself when I was recently stepping through all the settings. Wasn’t inclined to try it out though… feels like already too much wonky AI on the internet.
I thought some guy named Al was going to leave witty captions for me. Very easy to confuse Al with AI… I kinda wanna see what it does but I feel thats also how every robotic apocalypse begins.

Tried turning it on and it unticks itself after saving changes… It knows I’m not to be trusted. Or it just wants me to think it’s off
Mine did the same thing too, just unchecks itself. It seems like the option for it appears but the function itself might not actually be activated on this discourse server. Makes sense, Emily left us years ago. We are an AI-less community.
