Had a trader land near me but I could not find the pilot. Anyone else have this issue on other platforms?

Happens lots for me, on steam PC. Since before waypoints.
When I see ships flying over, I often aim my multitool in the air and fire off the mining laser and they often land shortly afterwards. Doesn’t always work, and it might just be a coincidence.

I haven’t seen it myself but I was playing along with a friend that ran into it on PS4. His pilot landed on a steep hill so we guessed that the pilot walked in there but it was never found. I have had a lot more instances of the ground taking its time to show up and I can fall through, maybe the pilots fall through as well.
