“Think and wonder, wonder and think.”

I used to think I was clever, until I met @DevilinPixy
Why are you tormenting me so?
Really though I’m still working on this and not getting anywhere - you are good at these!

Well, keep at it, because I have been working on a nice little bonus!

Downloaded the file which changed the image to just pixels.

Running this through a Steganography site, I got some cool variations of the original if nothing else.

Ummm, yeah. I’ve been viewing this on mobile the whole time. I’m just now seeing it on the desktop. I swear if I stare at it too long it looks like it’s moving.

I believe there’s a drawing (or image in pixel art ?) behind but i can’t recognize what it is. And as the 2 images have “Seuss” in their title (default and colors) maybe there’s an obvious link but it doesn’t talk to me. (and i’m not skilled enough to play with the RGB curves in paint.net or Gimp  )

So this has to do with the color of the forum now which is a shade of Dr.Suess and the original ETARC color…are we getting a new look for NEXT?

Okay. I’m throwing a guess out:

Is it in relation to- Horton Hears A Who!

A prize then? So it’s a competition?

I think I’m onto something (nice hint DP), but all I’ve got so far is maybe the number 7? I know there’s something there, but I’m afraid my brain might be too small to figure it out.

The Seven Lady Godivas?

EDIT: ^This may not be the answer, but it’s an interesting find. Didn’t realize Seuss was into that kinda thing :smirk:

These may help on mobiles to read RGB colour values.

These types of images are the ones where my mind starts shutting down and I get Minecraft buildwars flashbacks.

But seriously, it looks like a painting decoration.

Nice try, but I am not using Least Significant Bit (LSB) techniques
What I did is more straight forward …

I would suggest to focus on the smallest image I provided, see below.

default resolution
Dr%20Seuss%20colors

scaled resolution
Dr%20Seuss%20colors

I wish I had a faster way to do this  It’s very time consuming.

Congrats @Xion4012!

Oh yes, I know, which is why I made the smaller version, as well as the above bonus.
I am sure you’ll be able to figure this one out now

Feel free to share how you did it, which will help others work on the bonus too.
Either way, make sure to share the bonus, which will easily get you the first bigger solution too!
Ahum, it would even fit the bible in an image of around 1200x1200

Yes, please share the method.

I’m terrible with explanations, but here goes.

Every color has an RGB value. It’s usually 3 numbers between 0-255, but you can convert the number to hex.

I found a free website where you can upload images, and they will tell you the RGB and hex values for any color. If you convert the colors in the image to hex, cell by cell, and string it together you get the above message.

Major thanks to @johnnycloud for these images. When you “scale up” the image, it becomes blurry and the color values can vary. These are perfectly crisp. (Care to give the newest one a shot?)

I’m working on the “bonus” now, but it’s horribly slow going. If anyone has a fast way, let me know.

Bonus properly zoomed

Edit: Do keep in mind that in this image, each coloured square represents one pixel.

I’m glad I solved the bonus before tackling that huge image.

There’s a handy tool to do it for me

Woot woot! I bet you were happy to solve that bonus first
Now you all have a tool to create secret messages with or decode them the other way around.

I really hope those who participated, liked this puzzle.
Thanks for trying everyone and congrats once more to @Xion4012. (Huge is relative :joy:)

I will write up a full summary after I got myself some sleep. I will include my thought process and whatever else was involved in creating this puzzle.
