Go team Contigous! ![]()
You know… The teams are even the same colors… We are definitely defragging a hard drive.
Team Weaver are winning after the defrag… I guess it was fated to be ![]()
Is anyone else having missions complete automatically?
I ran one mission like normal and then the next completed as I approached the sight.
The third I had to complete.
Then I was waiting on my Freighter for the timer to roll over. With 7 minutes on the clock, I stepped away from my PC and when I came back, the missions all say completed…with 7:58:00 til the next roll over…
Watching this bug with interest lol.
Yeah it has happened to me on two occasions. Not sure how to repeat it. I seem to recall I had exited the Anomaly then entered it again soon after but can’t recall what happened exactly, but it completed and I think it was a salvage a swarmer mission but never pulled anything. I was in multiplayer I think at the time.
Also unrelated, but may be connected, a different mission completed for me, the one where I had to give some collected resource to Polo. As I already have stacks of resources with me I expect it to complete, so that is a very fast complete if you have big pockets. But that’s not really a bug, just fortunate as I had previously collected the required resource Uranium or Phosphorus I think.
I could watch that bug all day long.
Not sure there are any steps to repeat for my bug. I had been decorating the crew quarters while waiting. Nothing else
I was standing in the hangar waiting for the clock to roll over
Are you guys playing with MP on? It could be someone in your instance completing it is counting towards you doing it somehow?
Yes it is on. I just hope they counted. Sages are far enough behind
I typically keep a log of the expedition route systems, which most times amounts to less than 10, the way I play. I started doing that with Swarm, but it wasn’t long before … pffft, the Anomaly can just take me wherever, I’m not tryna keep track of all this…
I have put all the expedition systems/their planets (except for some outside of Euclid) onto the 3d havenmap to get a nice idea of where they are within 3d space on the galactic map. I submitted them as Hello Games so they’re all collected in this link. Or you can open the map itself and type Expedition into the search bar for the list to propogate.

I started doing it with some of the Expedition 22 Countermeasure mission systems but yeah… There are so many. I probably won’t do them all. Just the ones I can as they come, and when I’m not bogged down with ARG happenings at the same time.
I must go back and add the main ones from the phase 1/2 milestones etc when things get a little quieter, maybe towards the end of the countermeasure phases.
We’re close to 40%, I thought we might hit it tonight but looks like it might be tomorrow or tuesday some time. The rate certainly seems to have slowed down, player drop off was bigger than I anticipated this week.
WOW that’s a great catalogue! I think I could add some to that if y’all are taking volunteers… I’ve got notes on Polestar, some of the redux runs, and every exp since Omega.
After today, I’ll be out of pocket until Thursday (travel to take care of family business, always a good time) so I need all you fellow Sages to pick up the slack!
Haven map is open to all, always welcome people contributing to them, and you can edit and add to submissions after they’ve been accepted too.
If you’re submitting expeditions just remember to select “Hello Games” from the civ drop down.
I was also going to tackle the Redux version but haven’t gotten around to them. I did do the redux for expedition 9 I think since it was only in one system and easy to do while I was doing expedition 9.
It’s sunday night so I guess it’s time for an update on fragments and percentages
Switch got the update this week, so where does that put our numbers after peak Sunday hours?
While total peak steam players was at 26k last week, after coming down from 28k the previous week, it plummeted to just under 20k this sunday for its peak hour. Remember this is peak player count for the day, not the total player count.
Not unusual for the third week in an update to have a sudden drop like this, but the first week of the update showed something we hadn’t really seen before, a very consistent player count between mon-thurs.
That honeymoon period seems to have worn off but I still think players will get to 100% before the HG timer crosses us over the finish line first.
Now that I’ve bought myself time by typing while I waited for my game to boot up, here are the fragment numbers for the end of the third week.
76,101 Weavers
75,878 Royals
75,460 Sages
227,439 total
That puts us over the Steam player record of 212,613 from launch day
These are just expedition numbers too, which statistically have a lower attach rate than the larger content updates
If HG submit the NMS10 update to platform holders 2 weeks early (to avoid delays caused by xbox/switch certification on those platforms), then it is extremely likely we will hit the NMS10 community goal of more players across all platforms than there were on Steam at launch.
Of course, how will we even track this? How will we ever know? I would say it’s no secret to HG what the community is pushing for, I suspect they added this live player tracking feature to the expedition to telegraph this very desire being understood.
I imagine, while we may not have access to the numbers come the time, Sean and the folks at HG might share the numbers as they come in, as part of the celebrations. That is of course, hopeful thinking on my part but it would be nice if it happens.
Percentages? Where are we at…
Royal contribution: 12.66%
Sage contribution: 12.56%
Weaver contribution: 12.98%
Prismatic Core progress: 38.2%
Looks like it might be another day or two before we are at 40% to see construction phase 2 take appearance. I think we were at 33% last wednesday as we crossed the 2 week mark, so things have CERTAINLY slowed down.
My previous prediction of being done in the next 4 weeks might need to be revisited. I suspect HG might start fluffing the numbers or upping the rate on their end as players actively contributing daily missions continues to decline.
An interesting observation I made this past week and a half too…
Week one was ripe with griefers and they seemed to be the first to drop off once they got their weird sadistic kicks out of the way. I’m finding I bump into less people and countermeasure mission zones are not as clustered with people either. It’s moved into a much more relaxing state of affairs. I’m glad to see the griefers move on and it really does give an insight into their psychology.
They do it for reactions, and they will get bored sooner if people just pay them no mind. The less reaction you give them, the less “fun” it is for them, they don’t get their strange desires granted and they move on to the next game or thing to cause mayhem at.
People like that will do anything for attention, and if it doesn’t work they will move on and look for it elsewhere.
I was hoping we would see the team numbers level out a bit eventually, but the player gap percentages between them seem to have more or less remained the same.
Hope everyone had a fun weekend between expeditions, main saves and ARG madness. Hope you all have a splendid night and I’ll see you in the morrow <3
I think that’s the last bit of user @Alderan_Smile Willy Wonka is holding up.
The image reminds me of a Sci-Fi book about the Third Eye. Can’t recall the book’s name though.
The Prismatic Core Progress is showing as 40% in-game, but this is of course a rounded up number.
Going off the percentages, it’s actually 39.77%
I think we may hit the actual 40% in an hour or two when the next batch of repeatable countermeasures become available ![]()
It’s been a crazy day with the ARG… I think I’m gonna try stay up and see it cross 40% and capture the appearance of the Under Construction Core changing
