Love how mushrooms pop up so fast, the soil stays on top.

Had a flower arranging party at my house. It was quite interesting. One of the women who came is getting dementia. After they left, I found flowers stuck into things all over my house. :sunflower: :bouquet:

Here is my arrangement…I didn’t get to do mine til everyone was gone and most of the flowers were sprinkled throughout my house.

Picked this kit up at Book A Million. Snap together wooden kit. Kinda cute.

The light has a touch sensor so I just tap the spot on the front corner to turn it on and off.

Took me 2 movies to put together.

I have a couple of those that pretend to be hard-back books, but are little dioramas of libraries, antique shops, museum collections etc.

They’re sitting on my shelf, waiting to be built, because I can’t think what I’ll do with them when they’re complete. My book shelves are full of real books.

A bit more NMS-centred, but I’ve been seeing some absolutely breathtaking NMS illustrations from this user on my Twitter feed!

As someone who’s been waiting to take up Apollo’s offer of a drink since 2017, that last one’s such an awesome piece! Can’t help but wonder if HG will ever let us meet the original traveller cast now that we have full multiplayer, explained away by lore.

This is not a post about my artistic endeavour. Rather, it’s about the endeavour of our friend and fellow member, @Timsup2nothin .

As you may or may not know, Tim is a published author. I recently got a copy of his book, and he requested that if I liked it, I should say so publically. And I did, so I am.

Tim’s book is called “Just Robbed A Bank”, and consists of a collection of stories from parts of his (quite varied) life. He deals with such diverse subjects as car sales, bank robbery, Vegas gambling, prison, and pool maintenance - all in a fairly uplifting and positive way.

It’s well written, in an easy, conversational style. It’s a bit like you’re having a pint with him, while he tells you tales from his past. Very entertaining.

For anyone interested, my latest writing project is being hosted here. It’s a forum I’ve been on for a long time. Used to be a lot more active than it is now and could use some traffic, even if you just lurk and read. Of course, if you join up so you can leave nice comments I will be glad to hear them.

AAR? So that’s what they’re called… I used to take notes of my friends tabletop battles when I was 11 and write them out in detail. I think I wanted to be a writer then.

It went paleontologist> writer > musician > internet webcomic person > TV writer/ Filmographer> Hello Games Janitor. I think I’m slowly working my way to more attainable careers

That’s what they are called, but general consensus is that isn’t what I write. Actual AARs are very “this is how the game went” and usually have a lot of screenshots. They are generally of very little interest to people who aren’t fanatical about the game. My projects are more like stories where the setting, and in large part the plot, are provided by the game world, but I try to bring life and depth to the characters. This sort of exercises is where I really honed what writing ability I have.

Let’s go with Elevated AAR(t)… the t is for Tim and also trademark.

Well, that turned out to be a shorter, but even more entertaining exercise than I anticipated. When I said that “in large part the plot is dictated by the game world” I guess I drew the attention of the writing gods, because the game world left no question who was in charge of the plot, and it was definitely not me. In my arrogance it somehow never occurred too me that I was going to LOSE THE GAME. Lose in epic fashion I should add.

I think it made a good story though.

Will we find it in the mead hall with the others?

Not sure if I dumped this here in the past but I’d forgotten I’d even done these.

For half of 2017 and most of 2018 I was without a PC, a power surge fried the PSU and it was a while until i could get it sorted.

To keep my mind from going crazy I bought Fruity Loops DAW for mobile. I had used the original on desktop in my teens through my twenties before making the switch to reaper.

I made a bunch of little songs and to keep it seperate from my actual soundcloud, I made this new channel to dump them to.

I can hear potential in some of them now that im almost a decade removed from them.

One in particular I had already expanded upon which you can see below.

Was a bit of a trip hearing the original unfinished version on todd:human, I feel I lost some of what makes that quiet break have impact in tje final version (which was finished on PC).

I havent made music since the lockdown started but I’m going to try fall back into it in 2026.

Looks like I did post about the above one but didnt share these raw DAW phone dumps

Heres some nms inspired ones I farted out before the automatic writing angel thing got COVID and died
