So, I do art and stuff - general artistic / creative chat

Shhhh…don’t tell my kids this. They have a copy of this movie and it is hailed as a childhood nightmare come to life and yet they force all their friends to watch it. I guess a nightmare shared is easier to cope with

Finally done with this jacket! For now anyways …

Next will be the tie-dye jacket to get the Crew Dragon patches.

Nice! That’s a lot of stitching. :sewing_needle: :thread:

Very jealous of those NMS patches.

I need a jacket that helps identify me to fellow like-travellers when I’m out in public. A good way to make friends for the introvert about town

No I have not finished my crochet hoodie but it is coming along nicely. However, I already have my eye on my next project. Found this nice radio box. Will build a box to slip inside it and make a dollhouse room. I have some really nice DIY tiles that I am working on but the extreme cold has put it on hold because I need to do several layers of varnish outside and it is way too cold for that.
Thinking of making a conservatory with lots of plants which I will make myself…I hope…one day soon. Gotta finish that hoodie first.

Finally framed some of my mushroom pics. A friend of mine has opened an art studio. Will try to sell a few things.

Now that I have a supplier for inexpensive frames, I will know what sizes I am working with and adjust my paintings to match.
One step at a time
I really must finish that cardigan…
Yes those black marks are me blacking out my name. If I become famous, I will drop the mask. :joy:

I can’t remember if I posted his Joe Rogan diorama a while back but I meant to.

Amazing YouTube channel from one of Ireland’s best artists/comedians. They rose to fame as one half of the Rubber Bandits, both incredibly gifted independent artists (the other one is involved heavily with the local arts and mental health but he gets all the attention, showering it on Bobby fingers today).

I thought about posting this in getting a laugh or music tastes but it feels more at home here given it’s just one man’s hobby and passion being shared.

Highly recommend the channel, the videos are few and far between but the attention to detail and production quality is up there with the best.

Here’s a bonus video of some rubber bandit hilarity, which I most definitely posted in music tastes thread at some point in the past. Or the getting a laugh out of life one. Hard to tell with these lads.

And I thought I remembered him getting hit by a black bird or a crow. Oh Fabio with the glorious hair.

I am looking for a name for my side hustle at the art studio. I have a display rack which will be filled with small paintings, amigarumi charms for backpacks and maybe a few other small crafty things.
Ideas appreciated. Something short and catchy.

Found these the other night while walking back in the pitch black after dropping a vehicle off to my neighbour.
Was a very exciting find for me.
Appeared blue from the track but up close they were a pale green.
Haven’t seen these in about 25 years.
