Good idea, it’ll make it easy for us to spot.

Fleet was too big to fit in the shot.

“So far so good”, he said, as he passed me by…

96% complete, apparently. The project manager was otherwise engaged.

I’ve been having a a painful side effect of the mouse cursor flying off to a different display when I click E on things like the teleporter etc., where it’s in game, not in a menu type screen, and thought I’d check and see if switching to Fullscreen would stop it. Bad idea, the application now goes black and you can’t see it - you can hear it though. I’m on Arch Linux and was a bit stumped as my obscure window manager doesn’t have obvious key bindings to bring a window out of full screen. Luckily the Arch wiki came to the rescue and pointed me to the relevant NMS config files to restart it back in borderless.

I then realised that the flying cursor only happened when I used the mouse button that’s mapped to E (it’s become a bit ingrained to use that). So now I just have to train myself to use the keyboard for the pop-up menus.

What’s this got to do with screenshots? Well I needed to recover in my freighter’s relaxation room, and thought, this might be worth sharing (I moved the sun to light it, apologies for the harsh lighting).

Drinks are served from 8pm, and the card games are in the room overlooking the “garden”…

Always surprising to find something which I havn´t seen before. Was looking for a “normal” Paradise Planet with white grass the last weeks and just found this one. Weird Colours all over the Place.

This is a Tropical Planet which I normally ignore because I do not like the typical red sky colour. But now I am confused, is this a chameleon Planet ? … I have seen some before but they just had the 2 colour separation between close by and the distance. This one feels different … any idea of, or do you know whether Tropical Planets add some more colour effects to Planets, which maybe can add up ?

That planet type is new to me too, really want to find my own now, they must be a rare occurrence.

I think so, it must be rare. Also those red / orange rings on POI landing platforms, never seen before. Another strange color thing is, that when you call your ship … the holographic thingy also shows up with mix matched colours … varying a lot depending on where you try to summon it. And for me another layer of curiosity is, that the background behind the ship also has some influence to its color.

For me this is absolute amazing to find such Planets, far out of the standard range. I think I am an Explorer :joy: :joy: … really like this

New planet to build a base on - has hostile predators and fairly frequent storms, but it’s still pretty cool.

Have just found what might be a chameleon exotic biome, the colours appear to be inverted beyond immediately nearby, so the indium deposits look pink in the distance, but what is interesting is the fauna colour is dependent on which background they are viewed against. At first I thought the nearby fauna would be the default orangey/red, but then realised the couple closest to me looked blue/green. moving about a bit I saw that it was simply which background I saw them against. The screenshot shows some with half and half colouring.

All the same planet - just discovered it in the same system as one of my settlements. Pretty sure it didn’t look like this when I first claimed the settlement.

Just realised there’s a bit of a theme to the composition. Must try and vary it a bit.

There must be a great need for communication at this particular area

First time I actually destroyed a dreadnought:

System had the station in the rings of a planet - not that unusual, but it’s been a while since I’ve visited one. This was also on the edge, so the effects were subtly different:

Went through a black hole and ended up in this system:

Sorry, rather a lot there.

I wish there was a use for those outside the initial story. Every time I find one, I feel there’s something missing.
