You need to check your settings. Your FOV can be adjusted. I prefer a wider view but it does cause warping.
Settings are normal. No FOV change. I think the ovoid shapes result from the use of a “flat” 2D photo combined with the ability to change the camera location (3D). If the photo were a sphere vs. flat, this might not happen, but might be impractical to code.
I usually try to manouvre the camera so that the edge objects are less distorted in photo mode. But I too prefer the FOV larger due to a very sensitive problem with motion sickness.
I think there is some confusion because there are two sets of FOV settings; one for gameplay and one for photo mode. Tried for a while to get them to look the same and finally gave up. lol
Nice shots & colors.
NOT a giant sentinel! (You can see a resemblance though, right?):

A rare experience – water that looks like water! (usually all the water I find is red from all that iron content I expect):
Ah… Back to normal:

No green grass but some nice blue water lakes. Linked two of them so far. The mini teleportals are really handy.
My water once used to look like that, but then updates happened …
Hmm… Now that I have upgraded my OS to Win 10, perhaps I should reinstall NMS? I guess I figured Steam would do the necessary after an OS update.
I do notice that now I no longer seem to get those freaky psychedelic glitches… Been a week now.
There was talk about Ansel when NMS was released. I hadn’t realized that it was available. Does anything special need to be done to use it?
