I found a Paradise Giant planet. I scanned all the water creatures but none of them are registering in the fauna list.
I scanned some land animals and they registered.

I noticed a lot of what I scan end up in the extinct list. Maybe we haven’t fully anchored the purple systems into our reality?

Me too. I’m not sure about the planet but it was in a purple system and I changed the red dots to green footprints for four different ocean dwellers and none of them have shown up in the Discovery tab.

This issue with water creatures has been present since update launched unfortunately, it used to only effect hermit crabs and sea horses for me but since the last patch it seems to have gotten worse and now it’s more or less all underwater creatures.
There was mention of this bug in the first experimental patch so hopefully they get to the bottom of it soon.
Somethings definitely up since these new purple systems shouldnt have extinct creatures in their list either since that was a way of showing creatures no longer present on a planet after a universe changing update.
