I think System had some memories, but was missing / corrupted others. We had to fill in the blanks.
Now it seems they’re all missing, and they all need to be reconstructed.

System is still alive and well. It’s connection to Waking Titan (Historical DB) has been severed, and we’re being routed to restore its memories using the TOWER it seems.

That would make sense if the dates it’s putting in automatically aren’t PRE release of the game it’s about, much less pre release of WT. I keep thinking it’s highlighting the fact that it IS a pre-release time period.
The Memory_reconstruction_engine is deprecated also. I’ve been forever curious to know what superseded it for this task (prior or now).

I’m thinking it was Emily/loop16 active and awake(the story tie-in to WT). Then after it slept it now is corrupted/disconnected. The main plot development in that theory is we are connected to the Architect of Emily now. Her father of sorts. If this makes absolutely no sense please correct me as I am not as well versed in WT lore.
I think the year of the school cipher would have them as being too young as the original architect of Emily.
It seems like they heard about what happened though and have spent 7 or 8 years trying to recover them.
Okay new theory.
Its Bob, the intern. They are trying to revive Ms Noodles as a digital hamster they can feed and play with, like one of those old desktop pets.
Ms Noodles was most likely born in 2016

It’s not the character they’re playing, either. The Architect appears to be investigating something he discovered a while back - he’s not the creator.

As someone who’s new to this, and just been tossing semi-random pictures at BlueSky while thinking “I’m undoubtedly doing this wrong,” I appreciate this clarification.
I’m currently going through still-life photos I took in 2016, looking for weird stuff that matches dates on the Skyscraper site. I’ve got some that match certain dates, like April 22 2016 - is there a certain way to submit or hashtag them specifically, or should I just throw it all at the wall and see what happens?

We all are. The rules are being made up as we go along. In that respect, I don’t know any more than you do.
On Bluesky, there is a specific hashtag #GlitchingReality that’s being used.

Well, this is my first ARG. I am reminded of the kinds of thinking required by the old Infocom games of yore: so much fun but yes, much flailing around to figure out what the puzzle is before you can even solve it.

Indeed. The difference with an ARG is you have a whole community around you, trying to do the same thing, gradually chipping away at the answer, and (hopefully) sharing their results.

Noticing that ETARC and TOWER share the same number of letters, and 3 of them in common, and that The Architect and Ghost communicate in French…

Sorry if this has been suggested before (it’s getting REALLY hard to keep up 
) but my first thought upon seeing this was that the filled in/missing dates might give us either a message in binary code or a QR code (if it’s possible to arrange them that way, but I find that less likely).

Also Maybe there is more information on the dates not yet added, as I have noticed the release of NMS(aug 8) is still absent
I thought that, but don’t think it’s possible to be a square QR code - root 365 is 19.xxx
But there may be some other format that works.
Trouble is the list keeps getting added to. I thought there might be a pattern two days ago - but then it all changed. I think we have to wait until it reaches its final form.

There is one pattern, so far… though again, it’s nothing until we get more data…
Jan 5 2016 and Jan 7 2016 are the only dates submitted for memory restoration, that have a current state and a tag associated with them

Heads up the tracker flagged an unpublished post on the site. Seemed to be titled “#3202”. This gives only 1 search result for this ETARC linking to @DevilinPixy from 2017( Emily Glitch Video Analysis - #232 by DevilinPixy ). Might be related
