Project skyscraper / no man's sky arg

Definitely a group effort thats for sure. If this is a group of dedicated fans, I hope they’re coordinating on Discord and we get to see the full logs when all is said and done :stuck_out_tongue:

Considering also, we got a photo of an actual casette tape in a location in london, I don’t think that was faked. We also got a shot of a real atlas pass on a cafe table in Paris.

They’re either based in one location and have the budget for a day trip to london, or as a group they are spread out in various world locations.

They went to Brussels too!

So they’re allowed to go places and send us photos, but we aren’t allowed to go to the same places and send photos back? Rules for me, but not for thee, eh Architect? /s

I thought maybe the brussells photo was a photoshoppery/google street job like the french park one, but then again maybe not  I was severly hungover for most of all of that puzzle.

You can go wherever you like - as long as it’s your own choice.

Over the years there have been some unfortunate incidents with ARG players either being encouraged, or thinking they were being encouraged, to do unsafe or illegal things. People have been hurt, and people have been arrested.

For that reason, we say that you should not attend game locations unless specifically asked to by the PM.

You are, of course, free to travel wherever you wish. Just not as part of the game.

I’m aware and that’s perfectly reasonable, I’m just alluding to the current in-joke of going to whatever location is even tangentially mentioned by the PM and getting told off like an unruly kindergarten class.

Sorry if that didn’t come through in text!

It’s easy for people to get caught up in the enthusiasm of the moment, and put themselves at risk they didn’t mean to. I know it’s tedious, but we have to advise people accordingly.

Their temporal continuity is severely compromised!

Alice & Smith are part of Project-Skyscraper’s canon, now, too.

If have to say if there was any hint within a couple hours of my location, I (almost) wouldn’t think twice about loading up my entire family to go check it out at a moments notice. (In shame) I am certainly one of those people lol.

I’m pretty sure the postcard was leaning against the fence in the Brussels one, so it’s a real photo.

So is it fan made?

Same here, I’m not good with puzzles, especially the types we’ve seen here. So far it looks like my best chance of being of any help is staring at the neural network and hoping something changes live. :stuck_out_tongue:

It is // It never was // It continues to be

You don’t necessarily need to be good a codes or complex mathematics.

Lots of people have been submitting pictures of “glitching reality”. It can be anything - something in your environment or surroundings you find unusual, something you made up, something you faked with graphics software. Be creative.

Similarly, people have been trying to associated certain dates with either real, in-game, or imagined events. Again, you can submit real, historical stuff - or you can make up associations.

Both of these activities have led to parts of puzzles being solved, and many of the people who submitted stuff have received a mention in the game.

I’ll start keeping an eye out for anything funky. I do also have a chunk of amethyst I could try to pass off as atlantideum.

New 2016 dump, restored blocs up to 180 191 199, all empty as usual. Wonder if we’ll get two again today or just the one.

The number added per dump is definitely increasing. We’ve gone from 34 → 38 → 40s → 53 entries per dump so far. We could genuinely be done by today or tomorrow at this rate, which would line up with the weekend being host to some of the crazier shenanigans.

@lisko Don’t worry, ARGs do a great job of offering a variety of tasks so that everyone can contribute. And creative tasks and photo posting. And the code breaking tasks are generally purposefully absurd. :joy:

(Made up example:) A super-code-breaker might post “All I get is nonsense like etnatiuh, I give up” and a non-code-breaker who speaks a French dialect says “wait, that’s huitante backwards, 80!”

Correction - the good ones do. The ones where the PM has considered all kinds of players.

Why is _System still adding memory blocks if it’s been discontinued. Something doesn’t add up

There is an other one now, 2016_dataset – project-skyscraper
7th Jan, only 2 days apart between the two “unverified” memory blocs
