The problem with ARGs is that there are no rules. They’re not like poker or tennis. The clues could be literally anything, and could lead anywhere.

There are some techniques that have been frequently used in the past, but every ARG is different.

It has, it’s different to the 10 in twitter but that may be down to who’s on where. There’s a thread for the social media stuff - hard to link to on phone but it’s in the skyscraper category.

Bear in mind that when a puppetmaster sets up an ARG, they are creating characters. The people this account follows are likely chosen to reflect the preferences of a fictional person.

There is an acronym used in the ARG world: “TINAG” - This Is Not A Game. It means the puppetmaster and any subsidiary actors will always remain in character, in all their interactions. They never break the fourth wall. They try to make their creation appear as real as possible.

I was wondering if it was more the content these people have created might have some sort of importance. The photographer for instance on bluesky only has a few photographs of Skyscrapers

And two of artwork, one of which is here in the screenshots. It’s just… odd that they would follow someone who doesn’t photograph a lot of Skyscrapers… what with the name and all. So why? Nothing is unintentional right? And the artwork is peculiar as well.

A follow up question/lead, are we able to see what posts they (Project Skyscraper) have liked specifically? Like a way to search for this? (I’m chronically of of social media. This is the most active I’ve been on it for years tbh)

X specifically hid likes after a certain individual got upset that people could see their likes.

BlueSky’s likes can be tracked, and the Architect’s account has not liked any posts on that platform.

I also want to take a moment to point out the usages of system as well.

We have: the System and SYSTEM, Im sure SYSTEM is an acronym for something now.

System(s), core, tower, Atlas, modules, protocoles, operators, ghost, architect… pen&paper needed to sort it out!

The_Achitect built a system called tower with help of Ghost.

They attempted to connect it to a Core System (Atlas) and eventually suceed.

I think it’s fair to treat them as references to the same “system.” They’re referenced as proper nouns, and it’s worth noting that the French version doesn’t include the word, “the” in either instance. Just “System.”

There is this perspective

the System built by our 2 compadres Arc&Null aka Tower (project Skyscraper)
and core SYSTEM aka Atlas where Operators already dwell (all caps)

Maybe Tower function is to replace Atlas?

Edit : if there’s only one system, wouldn’t it imply the_architect is Atlas’ creator?

I’m a bit behind on catching up so forgive the 4-day-late reply, but I wanted to add: the No Man’s Sky Service Bot intercepts data between Hello Games servers and the client, injecting its own data somehow to modify the client’s data. Though I consider it to be a valuable service, there are reports of people losing all their ships or other data corruption issues (or something along those lines). Its creator charges a monthly subscription fee for elevated levels of access to this bot, which is the result of reverse engineering NMS’s code. HG does nothing and lets it run.

People on eBay sell Tainted Metal and Expedition Rewards for real money. HG never does anything.

I don’t think HG would do anything even if this was fan-made.

But also with that all said, as a heavy participant in Waking Titan Season 1 and a moderate participant in Season 2, I believe this is the real deal.

EDIT: This was intended as a reply to a post saying that surely, if this was fan made, HG would’ve said something… but the page seems to have lost my intended reply in all the scrolling.

EDIT 2: I’m a compulsive editor All for constructive purposes I promise, but this site having an edit counter is really going to expose me…

Anyway, very much of a stab in the dark, but I tagged the Project Skyscraper Bluesky account in a post showing my Atlas Pass, Mr. Noodles food, and “Nine Tomorrows” book by Asimov which I received from HG / Alice & Smith. I also emailed the same thing both to the architect’s email and the system@project-skyscraper email.

Maybe I can threaten (or promise?) to start eating the Mr. Noodles food if they don’t grant the Operator_Auth_Level request.
